Starting to realize the real potential behind AI generated art. Just used Midjourney to replace the avatar I've been using for a decade. Took ten minutes of finagling Midjourney to produce output I liked and a half-hour to massage it into a usable profile pic.
While there are valid concerns about AI generated art and the direction it will take us, my hot take on the matter is that the people fighting against it and arguing about the lost value of artists, are short-sighted and cannot see the opportunity this presents to everyone.
The AI art in the previous tweet is intended (after editing) for inclusion into a Missile Command clone that takes place in the atmosphere of Venus. Air ships doing battle around the planet. Without AI gen. art, this project either wouldn't happen or be limited to x16 pixel-art.
Hence the importance of AI generated art to overall creativity. We'll see a day when these AI models are integrated as extensions into game engines like @godotengine, where they can be used directly, manipulated, or interpreted into full 3d meshes or sprites. Game-dev for all.

Another Ai filmmaking experiment.
Every pixel you see and voice you hear is generated by AI.

Godot-Rust should be easier than ever now to develop projects in, on Windows, following my new guide on how to setup IntelliJ for easy build configurations.

Made a handy tool using the #GodotEngine that allows for file and directory renaming using compound regex. Despite the occasional rough-area, the overall ease and flexibility of Godot's UI system allows for a nicer UI than a small utility deserves.
Just published my first full game made with @godotengine

Published on @itchio ; I want to extend my thanks to both the Godot and itch teams for making this possible for tiny indie devs.

In my endless quest to kill the light, I've developed another dark theme for use with Stylish. This time it's my honor to style @KidsCanCode. Uses the same doc system as @NathanGDQuest whom I styled previously.

For any @prismjs users out there that also happen to develop for the @godotengine, I've written new language definitions for GDScript & the Godot Shading Language, so your posted code snippets will have proper highlighting.

Spurred by a question in the #GodotEngine subreddit, I decided to put together a guide on dynamically writing shaders at run-time.
Godot 3 makes this deceptively simple, so kudos to @reduzio for his renderer work.

I'm so glad that @godotengine came along when it did, and has seen so much progression over the last few years. @unity3d may rule the roost, but it's such a poor development environment. It feels like everything requires a trick to work around Unity's shortcomings. xitter.cf/JadenHorst/status/9743…
Hmm for comparison
@unity3d neon fps tutorial vs @godotengine neon Fps.
Oh and Godot doesn't require buying anything off Asset Store.
Unity should just fork Godot and use Unity Splash Screen :P

A bit disturbing looking, but absolutely amazing. With so many different developers now using Godot 3, I can't wait to see what sort of amazing stuff they do with it.

Following up on the dark theme I put together for godotengine.org , I just finished developing a new dark theme for docs.godotengine.org as well.
Do your eyes a favor at night, and grab the theme here: userstyles.org/styles/155788…

I love the godotengine.org website, but it's a bit too bright at night, so I threw together a quick dark-theme for use with Stylish.
