Check out our interesting new results on depression and social media use! In 3 datasets, we see that depression is associated with more sensitivity to social feedback. Been so fun to work with @DanMirea4, @yael_niv, @clairegillan, @neurekaApp, @J_Mildner, @sean_w_kelley on it!

You might imagine that people with depression are less sensitive to rewards. But…maybe not on social media!
Across three Twitter datasets (over 17 million tweets from 7736 Twitter users), we find that depressed individuals show *higher* sensitivity to social rewards (i.e., likes) on social media.
