Complete and total misunderstand of what makes Ethereum interesting or valuable.
Rob (@robbieklages) breaks down his mental model for @zama ethereum:0xa12cc123ba206d4031d1c7f6223d1c2ec249f4f3: "Think of it this way: Zcash is to Bitcoin what Zama is to Ethereum." "Zcash has basically one application, the Zcash asset, but private." "Zama generalizes that, the way Ethereum generalized Bitcoin, adding smart contracts and use cases, but for privacy." "They're extending existing infrastructure. Any token, any smart contract you want to make private, you don't unwind or delete any code." "You add privacy on top of existing applications."

Why did he change his shirt for every shot lol
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

"We started AirBNB to address a housing crisis... which we ended up exacerbating. So now we are going to invest in housing, and we think its going to help because those units can't be used by AirBNB" The cognitive dissonance of late stage capital is very entertaining.
Yesterday I was in Austin, TX to announce the Airbnb Housing Accelerator, a $250 million commitment to help get more homes built. Airbnb started because of a housing problem. My roommate and I couldn’t afford our San Francisco rent, so we rented out airbeds in our apartment. Today, housing is unaffordable for millions of people around the world. If you step back and ask why housing has become so expensive, the biggest problem is pretty simple: we don’t build enough of it. America is short more than five million homes, more than all the housing in New York City and Los Angeles combined. We build fewer homes today than we did in 1950, even though the population has doubled. Airbnb has been part of the housing debate, and we understand why communities have concerns. Dedicated Airbnb listings are a small share of the housing supply—about 0.5% here in Austin and 0.3% across the U.S. Restricting short-term rentals is an understandable response, but the evidence shows it doesn’t address the underlying problem. New York City effectively banned Airbnb, and rents have risen about 30% since then. Austin took a different approach and passed reforms that made it easier to build more housing. Rents there are down 18%. Every city is different, but Austin is a clear success story. We believe building more homes is essential to making housing more affordable. So we asked ourselves: what can Airbnb can do to help? We found a few places where we can. Today, around 750,000 homes in the U.S. are ready to break ground, but are stuck because they can’t get the final piece of financing. That’s where we can help. We’re doing four things: 1. Putting $250 million behind housing projects that unlock $5 billion in development. 2. Supporting local housing advocates working to modernize zoning, speed up permitting, simplify building codes and reduce unnecessary costs. 3. Creating a $5 million Housing Innovation Prize for technologies that can make homes faster and cheaper to build. 4. Launching the Airbnb City Index to make it easier to see which cities are building housing, becoming more affordable and adopting policies that work. Our first project is in Austin. We’re investing $6.4 million to help build 201 affordable apartments in St. John, a neighborhood where the land has sat empty for nearly 20 years. The community fought to turn this lot into affordable housing and won. But construction stalled for nearly five years because the developer was a few million dollars short. Airbnb came and played a small part to unlock this project. None of these Austin apartments will ever be on Airbnb. Short-term rentals aren’t permitted. We’re investing anyway, because the goal is simple: help build more housing. We’re starting in the U.S. because it’s the market we know best. I want to prove this works here before taking it further. But housing affordability is a global problem, and I hope we can eventually take what we learn here and apply it globally. This is new for us. We’ll get some things wrong. And $250 million won’t close a five-million-home gap on its own. I know there will be skepticism about this, and that's okay. Airbnb only works if communities trust us and feel good about our presence in them. We can’t ask people for that trust. We have to earn it. The best way to do that is to help solve problems in the communities where we operate. That’s what the Housing Accelerator is about. Brian

Oof another big loss that tugs at my 2021 heartstrings.
A proposal to wind down Balancer and distribute the treasury to BAL holders is live on the forum, authored by Marcus Hardt. Discussion is open; a Snapshot vote is expected to happen from 25 to 29 September. Nothing changes today: pools and withdrawals work as they do now. Any wind-down action waits for the vote.

Why did you leave lol
Threadguy reveals he and Rasmr left the US Open just 30 minutes into the match after Vlad Tenev followed MEME “We bought stupidly expensive tickets. We're sitting really close. We've been there for 15 minutes and then all of a sudden Rasmr’s like ‘Oh my God!’” “I look over and it's like Rasmr on Dexscreener... He goes, ‘Oh my God!’ While it's silent. The only thing you can hear is like Alcaraz moaning when he hits the ball” “I look over at Rasmr, it’s MEME and it's just candling. Everyone's looking at us” “Rasmr’s like, ‘Yo, hello? Hello? What happened?’ He's on the phone. I'm like, ‘Rasmr,’ he's like, ‘Oh my God, Vlad followed!’” “So we're all sitting here and we're all shaking. I'm like, ‘What do we do? What do we do?’” “Finally the point ends or whatever and I'm like shush. Rasmr’s on the phone talking to Elliott. It's silent in this place. I'm like, ‘Guys, shush.’ Everyone's looking at us” “Also, we're sitting way too close. Like, I feel like if you're in the back you can be a little rowdy but not when Alcaraz can make eye contact” “I'm like, ‘We gotta get up, right?’ Because everybody's like balls deep in this coin and so we run out. You're not even supposed to leave. If you get up people get mad at you for getting up” “The first set isn't even over. We’re like 30 minutes into this game and I'm like, ‘Guys, what do we do?’ And they're like, ‘We have to leave’” “I'm like, ‘No, we can't leave. We spent so much money in these tickets. We cannot leave…’ They’re like, ‘We're leaving’” “So we basically just sprinted out of the US Open and went home”

WTF is this? A wrapper around ChatGPT with a memecoin? is 1000x still a @Blockworks podcast? Wild new strategy.
Two years ago I launched the base:0x352b850b733ab8bab50aed1dab5d22e3186ce984 token accidentally using virtuals I believe it is the oldest social token that isn’t abandoned We built a whole terminal for it (1000x.money) and also are going to funnel podcast revenues once we start accepting sponsors (soon) Honestly I initially regretted it since I intended it to be a small token for our community. It’s sort of become this little albatross, but I’m convinced we will make it work. More coming soon

So... if we are calling this the beginning of a bull run does that imply the 4 year cycle collapsed into a 1 year cycle? Because I'm pretty sure 365 days ago we were unambiguously in a bull run.
