#UPDATE: On Monday, November 2, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. a Sergeant near Highway 175 and Lloyd observed a truck make a U-turn and drive south bound in a north bound lane. The Sergeant called his observation into dispatch and attempted to make contact with the suspect driver. During the encounter, the suspect displayed a firearm. The Sergeant fired his duty firearm striking the suspect. The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene. The suspect’s firearm was recovered. The Sergeant involved in this incident is a 37-year-old male with over 15 years of service. He will be placed on administrative duty.
