Americans might have more views in common than we realize. Two out of three voters want local #communitysolar, but also overwhelmingly support solar and wind over traditional energy like coal. Check out the Poll from @ConsEnergyNet + @ComSolarFreedom. conservativeenergynetwork.or…

The new 646 kilowatt #solar installation at The Knolls apartment complex will save 260 low-income households over $700 a year on their electricity bills! @Sunrun was proud to cut the ribbon Friday with our BLDG Partners, @ffahorg, @SCE, @CalSOMAH and Mayor Dan Slater from @CityOfOrangeCA. Say it with me "Grid Architecture." If regulators don't address grid architecture up front, there will be problems, not only with integrating DER but also getting the most value from DER as existing architecture favors utility-owned resources over others.

What happens if your electric grid can't handle your new EV? That's a problem we'll all face unless local solar, storage, and virtual power plants go mainstream. States need to prioritize local solar to prevent utilities from denying new EV charger installs. ☀️

Local #cleanenergy dispersed throughout communities, like rooftop and community #solar, can improve #resilience and make electricity more reliable and affordable. But we need good #StateInterconnectionRules for those resources to grow! Learn more at bit.ly/StateInterconnectionR…

The #interconnection process has slowed in many states, keeping #cleanenergy projects like #communitysolar and #energystorage from connecting to the grid. Our new report provides guidance on the use of a new practice aimed to speed up the process: irecusa.org/resources/thinki…

Replying to @JesseJenkins
It’ll be massively expensive to grow out the grid and rely only on utility solutions. That’s why virtual power plants and non-utility assets have to be part of the plan - risk management and cost management by curbing the growth in peak demand.

#Deploy23 did not disappoint. Many thanks to @JigarShahDC and his amazing team for their Pathway to Liftoff series on #virtualpowerplants Check the graph. It’s the reason why VPPs are essential. We need a grid of the future that is stable, clean, and affordable.

I’m at #Deploy23 here in Washington, DC! I can’t wait for the conversations on how we can unlock local solar and storage, and help turn them into virtual power plants. DYK, VPPs unlock the lowest cost path to 100% clean energy.

Good #StateInterconnectionRules are needed to cost-effectively decarbonize the #grid because a mix of #localcleanenergy and utility-scale saves U.S. ratepayers $473 billion by 2050 compared to utility-scale alone (per @LocalSolar4All)! Learn more: bit.ly/StateInterconnectionR…

Mainstream local ☀️solar and 🔋storage unlocks the lowest cost path to 100% clean energy - and adds energy security to all energy consumers. Let's make sure the law doesn't stop families from choosing solar and storage, as part of the path to 100.
Let’s enact a 100% clean energy standard for Michigan. That means clean air for our kids to breathe and safe water for them to drink. That means protecting our lakes—both Great and small—so we can cherish them for generations to come.
