Hi @MartinHISC how are you? Do you fancy a chat about Local History Cafe Online? I'd love to involve more older people's settings. Our model is based around agency, active ageing, lifelong learning and crafting relationships.
I have a Christmas feeling in my tummy launching this. Any questions...just ask. This is an iterative process and we always value your thoughts. Katherine. #heritage #community #wellbeing
Midlands based collections...would you like to share an object and story over on our Local History Cafe Online Facebook group? We would love to hear from you. Please share with others. #heritage #wellbeing #community #stories
Hello you lovely lot! Over at the Local History Cafe Facebook group we've launched a Community Connections initiative to increase interactions & find out more about our members. Do you have a story to share for our November childhood games theme? #heritage #community #wellbeing
... to the Health Matters team @uniofleicester for funding time to think, discuss & act on next steps for the Local History Cafe programme. @kate_crux & I will be posting more soon about how you can get involved. I'll post the PR next. #heritage #community #wellbeing
Good morning ⭐ I'm very pleased to say @CraftingRel has secured a small pot of funding to get Local History Cafes back up and running online. We're also looking at a way to connect with people who don't have access to digital. Keep an eye on this account over the next week.
Some of our members are in the #coronavirus 'at risk' category/caring for others, so we are pausing Local History Cafes as a precautionary measure. Updates will come through our social media & our partners. Take care & we look forward to seeing you as soon as is possible.
As we move into the 'delay' phase of Coronavirus in the UK, Local History Cafe will be checking in with all of our partners on a regular basis and notify all of you who attend of any changes to our programmes.
A full house at today's Local History Cafe at New Walk Museum. I missed a few people out there were so many! #heritage #community #wellbeing @leicestermuseum
Fascinating talk today by Tony Jarram at Charnwood Museum. William Railton architect: from local churches to Nelson’s Column #wellbeing #community #heritage
