Actually. I'm glad I played and beat it. That was actually quite fun
Much more cinematic than 2 and the two protags played much different from each other
Much harder game too. I appreciate how much effort that took to beat
So far RE 2-4 have all been great experiences :)
I dunno how some people do it. Wife's been visiting her gal pal for the last two weeks and man this sucks
Also, I can't find my car keys. Been missing them for a few days. i'm missing everything right now :(
RE3 has been a mixed experience. I got stuck at one point and wasn't having fun. But once I got past Jill's initial section, I think its much better
I am not having fun fighting Nemesis. But I am glad the game isn't as bad as people were saying
I love youtube so much
This old codger just started ranting and raving on youtube about nothing in particular
Unskippable Titles, Bizarre thumbnails, short rants, weird voice, gives no fucks
instant celebrity
this is what the internet was made for. beautiful
When I applied for national honors society, one of the "leadership roles" I cited was my officer status in my WoW guild
Because it was so novel, I was allowed to make my case as to why it would be accepted. My guild leader (who happened to be a successful businessman) wrote a letter explaining what my role in the guild was organizing raids, calling shots, and our weekly goals
it was really fun and a great exercise in showing how gaming could be used as an exercise in growth
A kid who knows how to raid in WoW is unironically a better hire than 99% of non gamers. They develop team skills, coordination, leadership, how to master the respect of 40 people, how to share loot, maintaining a raid schedule, showing up on time, clear direct communication, how to get along with unique personalities, creating and executing on strategies, failing and trying again (perseverance), delayed gratification, etc. Invaluable skills are developed during raiding that are transferrable to the real world.

i was 14yo, undead mage, freshly lvl 60
late at night, a group was looking for a mage
i was the only one answering
thatโs how i ended up in my first raid
i lied to get in, told them it wasnโt my first time
my rotation was shit, gear completely unoptimized
but i listened and followed every order
end of the raid, the guild master asks me to jump on a 1-1 voice chat
he basically tells me iโm dead last in dps and that itโs not normal
i wonโt be invited again and blacklisted
so i tell him
i lied to you because i just wanted to join a group and play with people
what do i need to do to come back next time?
he gives me a todo list
farm these items
get these enchants
watch this guide and learn your rotation
you have 3 days
โcome back after that, iโll check everythingโ
i barely slept for 3 days
came back almost full pre-bis, fully enchanted, rotation learned
ended up #3 dps
still not perfect
but the guild master saw the commitment and offered me a spot in the second roster
i listened, executed and came back stronger
at 14yo
few weeks later i became a recruiter for the guild
learned a lot through that process

Where are these women now, I wonder? Did all those 30-something matrimony-struggling women we all seemed to find on WoW find peace and fix their marriage?
Or are they all 50-something single fur-mommies who are looking at WoW Forever longing for their lost high school lover?
You will never be able to organically recreate having a boundary-crossing relationship as a โ22 year oldโ with a 31 year old divorced woman over Ventrilo and then having to quit the guild and pay for a character name change because you found out that despite being what some would describe as โLoudon, Tennessee beautifulโ and having a cool horde tattoo she also has a 7 year old and thatโs a little too much for a high schooler
does anyone know the original tiktok video? making a compilation of funny comments from all the times we went viral
It finally happened
a fan from youtube came by and said "you were an important part of my childhood"
Once upon a time I wanted to die. I wanted to die for a very long time and the thought was in my head so long that it wasn't even a "bad" thought, just an option
"I could go to the grocery store today, OR I could swerve off a bridge and rid the world of my presence"
I am grateful to my wife and friends who kept me steady and alive all these years with their words of encouragement
it's thanks to them that I finally evolved and became the best version of myself. I know what gun metal tastes like and I know the strength and support needed to overcome the urge from pulling the trigger
There have been quite a few people in my life who are in similar situations. Now that I have achieved the best version of myself, I have tried to help others
I'm not going to pretend i'm perfect at it. sometimes I chose to respond with anger instead of temperance. other times I didn't have the right combination of words needed to communicate my thoughts. I've definitely had ego trips, moments of pig headedness, and have taken some jokes WAY too far
I thought I walked to the edge of degeneracy and darkness. I've managed to pull some people out of the dark, and others have fallen deeper into the hole.
the difference between the two are simple:
1) the people who emerged from the darkness with me believed in me and trusted me
2) the people who sunk lower chose to view me with malicious intent OR They chose to become worse
There are others who chose to walk down corridors of darkness that I didn't know were possible here in our society. Corridors you HEAR about but never expect to SEE people take
I will continue to be here if you ever actually need me. i've never ever actually blocked anyone and I don't really hold grudges
I do like it much better knowing this. I was wondering why it seemed so distinct

Kirby fans seeing a new cute little companion character and IMMEDIATELY assuming its secretly evil and the final boss will never not be funny to me because its only really happened like twice but both times were so traumatic they all grew up with permanent trust issues.
