So we could get relegated, and then another points deduction in the championship. Effectively meaning we have 2 seasons in the championship. I’ll be disappointed with this, most players will leave. Think some may stay if it was only one season in the championship.
Soundings from insiders suggest the most likely punishment for #ManCity is a huge points deduction which will ensure relegation to the Championship, plus a huge fine. The Premier League are pressing for @ManCity’s punishment to be announced before the appeal result, which is unlikely to be decided before the end of January. It is also possible the punishment would include a further points deduction effectively confining the club to the Championship for at least one more season. The EFL would not be obliged to accept that, but it is probable they would. [via @MailSport]

Who passed Szoboslai fit??? #Liverpool #LFC
💬 𝗤𝗨𝗢𝗧𝗘 - Andoni Iraola on Szoboszlai: “Dom, it's not a new injury, it's in the same place, we have to be a bit more patient until he recovers fully. He is more or less in the same situation he was in last week.”

If you watch to the end Barcola was very disappointed with himself, even sat himself down. He could have gone round the keeper like the first 1 v 1. What's important is that he learns from it and tries again. I expect that of him and Wirtz, at least Isak is not afraid to TRY.
That situation concerned me far more than the miss by Barcola. He looked like he had absolutely no idea what to do here. A 130 million pound attacker should not be like this. His end product needs serious work ✅

“Why are you doing this? Stop it! That’s not what we stand for!” A young French woman who appears to be leftist tries unsuccessfully to stop looters from breaking into a supermarket. Cause and consequence, face to face. I can’t help but feel heartbroken to helplessly watch my country being torn apart.

Brighton over the weekend has to take priority over Villareal imo. Hopefully we can out the Villareal game to bed early and rest a few key players. #LFC #LIVERPOOL
22 goals and six consecutive victories for @BHAFC 👏

Brighton lose their best players every single season and somehow still manage to get better Their scouting department might genuinely be the best in world football.

Barcola missed his 1 v 1 chance in the 1st half but I'm more concerned that he didn't try again when he was 1 v 1 with the keeper a SECOND time late in the game. Same lack of confidence I see in Wirtz, playing it too safe atm. Rather they keep trying till they get it. #LFC

I think two solid centre mids and a full back dramatically transforms this team. #LFC

Mad thing about Wirtz is that he runs the most out of them all. He’s created 9 chances today, which hasn’t been done for two years by anyone in the league, and people will still say he’s shite. The lad can’t win.

I'm genuinely worried that we are going to get seriously exposed over the next 3 league games. Every PL match there is no sharpness & teamwork. We don't seem to be confident on the ball, everything looks tentative & sluggish. #Liverpool #LFC

🚨 🗣️ Breaking: Ainsley Maitland-Niles on why he refused to take the knee before Everton vs Chelsea: “Honestly, I feel like these gestures have become formalities. We take the knee before matches, cameras capture the moment, and everyone moves on. But what actually changes? “I have experienced racism throughout my career, from my time at Arsenal to Lyon and now back at Everton. Yet I rarely see meaningful consequences for those responsible. How many more Black players must suffer before real action is taken? “Behind every racist insult is a human being being humiliated for the colour of their skin. Imagine giving everything to football, entertaining millions, only to be reminded that some people still believe you are worth less because you are Black. “I am tired of seeing beautiful messages against racism followed by the same ugly reality. Taking the knee means nothing if the people responsible face no consequences. “I don’t want another photograph of players taking the knee. I want to see real punishment, real accountability and real change. Black players deserve to feel protected, respected and safe, not just for the 60 seconds before kick-off, but every single day. #EVECHE
