🇬🇧 🌬️ The LARGEST DAY OF WASTED WIND on record. Britain paid £41.3m on 14 Oct, to switch off turbines (£5.7m) then buy the power back from gas (£35.7m). 150,656 MWh of clean generation discarded. Texas lets Bitcoin miners soak up surplus wind. Here it lands straight on household bills. 💸

HMRC has confirmed it is directly taking money out of bank accounts with more than £5,000 to recover unpaid debts. The tax office has resumed powers suspended during the pandemic, allowing it to directly access people's bank accounts to recover unpaid tax. Brace yourselves. $MORE. stats after the first day of trading. As an interesting comparison (and not to throw shade at any company) i've taken today's trading volume and value of all the UK BTCTC's and compared them to $MORE. $MORE. - Total trades 26 - Volume 337 - Trading Value £31,769 The Rest of the UK BTCTC's - Total trades 9 - Volume 210,765 - Trading Value £5,111 With shallow Broker coverage and a downturn in BTC price on the day. It was a solid start.

I do think it's v important to get trading212 onto it. this may be an uphill battle but will help big time with the socials and TikTokers. Perhaps downstream for now, fixing the big boys first.

When Andrew used to ring up to garner investment he was either asking institutions to buy at a high mNAV when everyone wants a piece, or a bear market sub zero mNAV where suddenly capital raising dries up. Now he can call them up an offer them 12-13% perpetual yield. I think (I hope) that will be a much easier sell - perhaps once liquidity is proven in the instrument. Generally, liquidity is not good in preference shares in the UK (as many have said before), so we are going to have to revitalise an entire market. But we will. I for one am thinking of becoming a "finfluencer" to start promoting this to the masses on TikTok. This is our vehicle to bring the Bitcoin ecoystem to the masses in the UK (who might otherwise never touch it) in it's most digestible format. Exciting times ahead.

it's a great success that the IPO is going ahead, congratulations to all involved on such a major milestone. clearly, we have along way to go with institutions on digital credit. They will get more at the price they deserve. looking forward to Wednesday and beyond to see how it trades.

I'm now a shareholder in @smarterwebuk inspired by the launch of the Bitcoin backed Pref and also having spoken to @asjwebley over the weekend and hearing his thoughts on what I understand as the Bitcoin Backed Digital Credit model for 2026 and beyond. I want to see SWC - a British company - dominate. 🇬🇧

So I asked my favoured LLM to analyse the following query ‘can you calculate the return on a single £100,000 purchase of MORE at an IPO purchase price of £90 assuming the whole 5 year period has a 12% yield’ response as below.

Henry Ford’s factory workers earned $5/day salary. At the time that salary bought 5oz of gold per month. Henry Ford paid his factory workers~$20k/month salary in today’s dollars. We don’t need a minimum wage, we need hard money.

£MORE IPO 12% preferred share (at £100 par). Paid weekly. Backed by 3 years of cash reserves for dividends (estimated) and £150m of capital one the balance sheet. You are welcome (IPO on LSE 14th October).
"Assumes an annual return AFTER inflation of 6% " Is doing a lot of lifting in that sentence.
