"Everybody else may be an asshole, but I'm not" is such a great response to being told the lie that everybody else is willing to work for free

I took 1 star reviews of #Barbie from furious men on letterboxd and put them on the posters because it makes the film seem ever cooler.

They finally make a movie for people who are 12 inches tall with no genitals and those people don't even like it.
My producers dragged me to see ‘Barbie’ and it was one of the most woke movies I have ever seen. My full review of this flaming garbage heap of a film will be out on my YouTube channel tomorrow at 10am ET.

Give me a break. Your video is chock full of white supremacist dogwhistles, imagery of Black people and caricatures of “woke leftists” causing violence while you prance around with angry white men in front a building infamous for a lynching. Your entire video promotes the Jim Crow “sundown towns” where good ole boys made sure no Black people came in and murdered them if they tried it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundow… “Small town” is just a euphemism for inadequate white men willing to cuck themselves for an orange Kremlin asset and to indoctrinate their kids into bigotry. Where was the tough guy you portray when people were being murdered in Las Vegas and you ran offstage like a child? Spare us your righteous indignation and take your KKK anthem down.
In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far. As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart. Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about.

This Supreme Court: Six right wing politicians, masquerading as judges, gleefully imposing their politics on the country by fiat, and unremorsefully living lives of leisure subsidized by billionaires with interests before the court. An outrageous scam.

In banning affirmative action, the Supreme Court has *not* banned using race in college admissions. "Race neutral" is a legal fantasy, the latest to conserve racism. As Uma Jayakumar and I write @TheAtlantic, “race neutral” is the new “separate but equal.” theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv…

Justice Jackson, dissenting: "Our country has never been colorblind. Given the lengthy history of state-sponsored race-based preferences in America, to say that anyone is now victimized if a college considers whether that legacy of discrimination has unequally advantaged its applicants fails to acknowledge the well-documented 'intergenerational transmission of inequality' that still plagues our citizenry. "It is that inequality that admissions programs such as UNC's help to address, to the benefit of us all. Because the majority's judgment stunts that progress without any basis in law, history, logic, or justice, I dissent."
Breaking: WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court outlaws consideration of race as a factor in college admissions.

To remind everyone, January 6th wasn't Trump's Plan A. It wasn't even Plan B. Plan A was to steal the 2020 election with Putin's help, just as he'd done in 2016. Blackmailing Ukraine for dirt on Biden was part of that effort. But it didn't work twice. 1/

To sum up: 1.) President Biden could have fired Special Counsel Durham, he didn’t. 2.) Durham was given all the power to indict anyone he wanted whether it was Joe Biden or even Hillary Clinton, he didn’t. #Durham #DurhamReport

The Hotez-Rogan-Musk silliness in a nutshell: 1. Experts of whatever political stripe should always be willing to debate other experts of whatever political stripe. 2. Experts should never debate abject fools posing as experts—because they haven’t earned experts’ time/attention.

As someone who is still recovering from a gunshot to the head, I am heartbroken and infuriated that Ralph Yarl now faces a lifetime of recovery. At 16 years old. For simply ringing a doorbell. We cannot continue to be a nation defined by gun violence and injustice.

The combination of Shoot First Laws, open carry, and gun extremism promoted by the gun lobby have created a vigilante gun culture that encourages people to seek out dangerous situations and emboldens them to preemptively shoot people. everytownresearch.org/report…

The Chiefs averaged 6.4 yards per play last night. All season, the Eagles allowed a league-best 4.8 yards per play. For context, the worst defense by YPP this year? The Lions, who allowed 6.2. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid basically turned the NFL's best defense into the worst.
