LPA calls for theatre industry tax relief: A Theatre Tax Relief initiative similar to that in the UK would bring more performances to Australian stages and boost employment opportunities on stage and off, says @LivePerfAust.

Honored to perform at Now & Forever.
Shouts to the artists that all donated their time to make this happen and to Live Nation Australia, Frontier Touring, Mushroom Group, TEG Dainty & Live Performance Australia for taking care of the infrastructure.

If the ABC is genuinely interested in engaging and growing its audience, it would be investing more in its reporting and coverage of the performing arts as opposed to further scaling back its coverage as has been the trend over recent years.

As soon as I saw this, I knew it was ridiculous.
So we're making it right - bringing the world's best artists back to the world's best city.
Working to lift the concert cap on Allianz Stadium that has stopped these artists from performing.
Who isn't crazy in love with that!
Congratulations to the 37 arts organisations, including several LPA members, who have received funding through the WA Government's Arts Organisations Investment Program. A great investment in WA arts and creativity! @DavidTempsMLA @MarkMcGowanMP mediastatements.wa.gov.au/Pa…

Vale Barry Humphries AO CBE.
A comedic and creative giant and great supporter of our performing arts.
LPA recognised his outstanding achievement in Australia’s live entertainment and performing arts industry by presenting the J C Williamson award in 2008.

For 89 years, Barry Humphries entertained us through a galaxy of personas, from Dame Edna to Sandy Stone.
But the brightest star in that galaxy was always Barry.
A great wit, satirist, writer and an absolute one-of-kind, he was both gifted and a gift.
May he rest in peace.
