Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem. — Unknown

This line from Atomic Habits isn't ready to leave my head: "It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."

I don’t want to "download the app" to pay for parking. I don’t want to "create an account" to see a menu. I don’t want to "provide feedback" on a 30-second interaction. I just want to exist in the physical world without a digital leash.

someone once told me ā€œemotional intelligence is the discipline of sitting with a feeling long enough to understand it before you hand it to someone elseā€ and that honestly changed how i move.

It makes people crazy, but my phone is always on silent, I have no notifications on, and I don't text often. Give yourself the gift of uninterrupted living.

It takes everyone a different amount of time to realize everyone is just thinking about themselves, no one was watching, and you should’ve just done whatever the fuck you wanted to all along.

I wish more 40 year olds took their health seriously. Middle age is the "make or break" season for health. The habits you have now will have a massive impact on today but you won't feel the effects until 30 years later. It won't get easier. You need to get your ass in shape now.
