I have a few things to say re Fillane and Sarnen. Not to “revive a dead horse” but I’m still recovering from major surgery so I’ve been too out of it to speak till now. I was moots with both. That ended with Sarnen yesterday, Fillane today. Admittedly I’d wanted to not know Sarnen for a long time. I tolerated him for Fillane. I had suspected for a long time that he’s abusing her to some degree and wanted to figure out a way to help her. While that may be true, I now believe there’s nothing I can do and her choices are her own, I have to distance myself for my own wellbeing. The last day or two have been extreme. She sent me in dms things that I won’t repeat, but were highly triggering for me. I kept trying to help her to make better, safer choices for herself. And then she went way backwards. At the same time I realised I was still in Sarnen’s discord server. He added me at some point but I never looked at it other than to grab an MCDF for a now deleted gpose (burning him in that gpose was a VERY specific choice btw). I decided to take a quick look before I left. The following 3 screenshots are from his “memes” channel. Sarnen is not just a Zionist. He is a fucking horrible person and will punch down on everything and everyone. “Jokes” like this go back months, full of homophobia, transphobia, racism, mocking suicide, rape victims, essentially anything and anyone in the worst possible ways. The other names present in them I am so deeply disappointed to see joining in, one of which I called a friend. You never really know people I guess. Seeing all of this pushed me over to end my friendship with Fillane. Because it’s one thing to not blame her for her boyfriend being a Zionist. That already sat weird. But to watch her use emotional manipulation and the weakest excuses to justify wanting to be with someone who thinks and behaves the way he does? I don’t want to be friends with someone like that. I don’t think you be with someone who thinks to those extremes and don’t engage in them yourself, not just a little.
