Estimates of #plastic input from #rivers to #ocean vary by up to five orders of magnitude. We need to reduce these uncertainties to allow meaningful assessments of the effectiveness of regulations against #plasticpollution.

While conducting experiments on microplastics settling dynamics when aggregated with algae, we noticed something curious: with high particle conc, behavior was different. We now assessed how settling behavior is influenced by other particles in suspension. pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021…
