On behalf of the @cityoflondon, it is a great pleasure to welcome the Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer and Chancellor @RachelReevesMP to Guildhall for the International Investment Summit. The City remains a cornerstone of international finance, and I look forward to continuing this work to secure long-term growth and prosperity across the UK. #UKInvestment

Morning @SW_Help on my 2nd train, with the windows that do not open, in 24 hours going to + from New Malden and Waterloo + for some reason the air conditioning seems to have been swapped out with heating. It’s pretty unbearable on a packed commuter train so can this be sorted pls

Proud to share a video of the thoughtfully delivered operation our colleagues ran last night moving the #Banksy artwork to a more accessible location in Guildhall Yard where everybody can now view the work from all sides, safely. #DestinationCity

Just leaving this for others to see, because the truth is in the next room to me is someone who looks exactly like me too. So where are you gonna go then? Or do you like wasting time in a doctor’s surgery when we have really sick patients to see? You’re welcome! #Racist #riots #NHSGP

In 2004 + 2007 immigrants sliced me open + handed me 2 beautiful babies. 5 years ago one put a life saving implantable defib in my husband. I’m absolutely sure these mindless thugs have family whose lives have been saved by the 1000s of immigrants in the NHS caring for all of us

Hi @ContactKingston can someone urgently look into this please as no response to our report and the dead fox needs to be removed asap. Thanks
Lisa Ward@LisaWardComms5 Aug 2024
Hi @RBKingston we found a dead fox on the pavement outside our house this morning. My husband reported it online and has had no response and it is yet to be removed. Given the weather can this be dealt with urgently as it is already covered in flies. Many thanks

You destroyed a library. It was MORE than a library, it was a food bank, a source of heat for people in the winter, a place for kids from low income families to use the internet, or do their homework. Why destroy something so vital? Yeah you’re so patriotic guys.

I keep thinking how 3 little girls were killed & more were hurt & traumatised, & instead of talking about their precious lives, we are being forced to focus on violent entitled white men burning cars & towns, who don’t give a shit about women’s & girls’ safety.

Shout out and huge thanks to Tiana on the @British_Airways check in desk @Gatwick_Airport south terminal this morning. Sorted out an issue with our luggage swiftly and with a smile on her face despite a very challenging few days ☺️👌🏻✈️

There will be women tonight dreading their partner coming home. Football does not cause domestic abuse, but it can become more frequent or severe after big games, with reporting increasing by 38% when England lose. Go to womensaid.org.uk. In an emergency, always call 999.

.@England ⚽️ without migration 👇🏽 This is what the #England men’s team would look like without players born outside the UK or with at least one parent or grandparent born abroad. The team would consist of three players. (via @MigrationUK) #ENGSWI #ThreeLions #EURO2024

Absolutely loving the posts from new @UKLabour MPs. All conveying the huge privilege to take up the role. The future feels just that bit brighter (and great to see some of the ministers I worked for last time round back in charge)
