WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN WICHITA?
Two days ago, a woman drove her pickup truck onto a youth soccer field at the Stryker Sports Complex in the middle of a Saturday afternoon game.
Six-year-old Cole Adrian and 35-year-old Nicholas Schafer are dead. Ten more were hurt, including five children.
This wasn't a fender bender at an intersection. She ended up on a field full of kids and families, with two of her own children in the truck.
She was released without charges. Police still haven't named her.
Here's everything we've been told about her: she's 34 and she's from Garden City. That's it.
No toxicology results. No results from the inspection of the truck.
And only today did the Sedgwick County DA's office begin its first review of the case.
Some people are saying this is normal. It's not normal for two people, including a child, to be killed in front of dozens of witnesses and the public gets nothing. Not a name. Not a photo. Not a timeline.
When officials go silent, people start asking questions. Is she connected to someone? Is there something about her they don't want out there?
Maybe there's a simple explanation. Then give it to us.
These families deserve answers, and so does the public. What is taking so long?

According to the warrant, one post said: "Every Democrat needs to get behind the Democratic nominee for Senate. Anybody not doing that, I promise you I'm going to cut your [expletive] head off."
The candidate referred to in the post was Angie Nixon.

King was a 7 year old Yorkie. When he got to a vet in Royal Palm Beach on Oct 2 he couldn't breathe on his own, he was crawling with fleas, and he scored a 1 out of 9 on body condition. That's the lowest score there is.
They had to put him down. The vet said it was weeks or months of neglect and some of the worst starvation she'd seen in her career.
Here's what gets me. Back in 2023 somebody reported this same dog being left alone for days with no food, crying.
Charlynn Marseille, 33, was arrested on a felony count of aggravated animal cruelty.
Somebody already warned them in 2023. So why was King still in that house?
