Happy birthday, Dad. Your faith in humanity, your insistence on love over hate, and your belief that everyone can serve continue to renew me. In the darkest of times, your legacy is a light. When I feel hopeless, your spirit carries me. You will forever be in my heart.

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown got his meeting with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, as the two East Texas legends shined on the Thanksgiving stage:
"A great guy, man," Overshown said. "I'm up one on him now, so hopefully I see him later on. It's always a blessing when you got a guy like that out of East Texas putting on like he put on. You hear kids talking about it all the time when you go back home, 'I want to be like Patrick.' When you got a guy out there that's inspiring the kids from East Texas like him, my hats off to him. I talked about hawking him down and getting him down, but it's out of respect. He's one of the best to ever do it and he's going to continue to elevate his game. I felt great getting my hands on him a couple of times."

Sources: #Cowboys standout LB DeMarvion Overshown is nearing a return to practice, and the team expects to open his window later this month with the goal of having him playing by November.
Overshown tore his ACL, PCL, and MCL last year amid a breakout season in which he recorded 84 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF, 1 FR, 8 TFLs, and 1 defensive TD.
He’s worked relentlessly to get back — and his return is close. Massive news for Dallas.
