Affinity should never have been allowed to exist. Time in the private equity wilderness has not improved their culture in the slightest.

An editorial comment.
Affinity manifestly does not have a strong quality focus. To the extent that it focuses on quality, it is about getting "Working" to "Meeting". It does not appear to be focused on investing in "Meeting" services to achieve "Exceeding"; in fact, the evidence suggests the opposite.

No visibility of Affinity's accounts once it delisted.
If G8 is having such a rough time of it you have to wonder how Affinity is going in PE hands. I'm guessing Not Good. #ozearlyed

Affinity spent barely two years on the ASX.
Trivia: Vocation and Affinity both listed on the stock exchange on 9 Dec 2013. Neither company will make it much past their 2nd anniversary.

Finance is ... complicated.
Canaccord Genuity helped Affinity SELL shares at $1.18 in March and today it is helping G8 BUY shares in Affinity at $0.80. Nice. $AFJ $GEM

G8 enters the room. This takeover failed spectacularly, and side note, was directly responsible for Jenny Hutson quitting as Chair of G8. Further side note, Hutson was charged by ASIC for her role in the takeover but that is a whole other story so let's not get distracted.

Me, knowing full well Affinity hadn't modelled the ratio changes, because the whole point of Affinity coming into existence was to allow owners to offload services into a corporate structure and transfer the problem of sorting it out to someone else.
Wonder how Anchorage, former owner of Dick Smith, is travelling with its Affinity childcare centres. Hope they modelled the ratio changes...

Affinity Education had a bad culture from the start and should never have been allowed to float on the ASX. Here's a tweet from 10 years ago, referencing a letter I wrote to ASIC regarding the Affinity prospectus.
A short trip down memory lane this morning as we begin the farewells to Affinity: Part of my letter to ASIC 18/11/13
