Anchor support is now built into RustRover.
The new @jetbrains RustRover plugin features:
- Automatic recognition of Anchor projects based on the contents of the Anchor.toml file.
- One-click installs of the Solana toolchain (Solana CLI, AVM, Anchor, Surfpool).
- Built-in explorer where you can see transactions and accounts
- Automatic creation of run configurations for building and testing Anchor projects (Anchor Build and Anchor Test), as well as for launching the Surfpool local validator (Surfpool Start).
- Editing support for Anchor.toml, including basic code completion.
- Detecting mismatched Anchor keys and synchronizing declare_id! and Anchor.toml with the generated program keypair.
Write, build, and test Solana programs without leaving your IDE.

Rust Meetup #5 featured Lukas Wirth from rust-analyzer and Zed speaking about powerful macros and IDE support, followed by Leon Matthes from Slint on reactive programming in Rust.
