When I was discussing my plans around this, a friend of mine made a really good point. They said– as a Jewish person– they would have been hesitant to be on a panel centered on Jewish voices *without* a statement denouncing Zionism.
It's so weird! I get why the panelists felt they had to make that statement. BBC leadership clearly doesn't get the reality of being a pro-Palestine Jew in leftist spaces
