Every day, millions of people take the road. Parents drive their kids to school, a taxi driver navigates busy city streets, and a small business owner makes deliveries to keep their community moving. Different stories, different roads, different realities. Across the EU, mobility looks different to everyone. What works in a city may not work in a rural area. What works for a family may not work for a small business. Yet we are all moving towards the same goal: a CO2-neutral future. The challenge is ensuring that transition works for everyone, no matter where they live, what they do, and how far they travel. That's why the EU needs practical and inclusive solutions available today. #Autogas and #RenewableLiquidGases such as #bioLPG help bridge the gap between todayโ€™s mobility needs and infrastructure and tomorrowโ€™s climate ambitions, reducing emissions while building on what Europe already has in place. The road to CO2-neutral mobility will not be one-size-fits-all. Different roads. Shared destination. #AutogasDay #EnergyEverywhere

Over 8,5 million cars already run on #Autogas across the EU, supported by more than 29,000 refuelling stations. This is infrastructure people use every day: on the school run, between client visits, during deliveries and on the journey home. It is a European mobility network with real reach, real users, and decades of expertise behind it. As #RenewableLiquidGas supply grows, this existing ecosystem can help reduce lifecycle emissions from cars already on the road through certified renewable fuels, without leaving drivers or infrastructure behind. #AutogasDay #EnergyEverywhere

Waste doesn't have to be the end of the story. It can be the start of a reliable energy source. #bioLPG and renewable DME can be produced from renewable feedstocks such as waste and residues, turning otherwise overlooked resources into #CircularEnergy for homes, farms, and businesses. For off-grid and #RuralCommunities, #RenewableLiquidGases provide an effective way to lower overall emissions while supporting daily life: keeping homes warm, farms productive, and local businesses thriving. #EnergyEverywhere

Europeโ€™s #decarbonisation challenge does not stop at the front door. From farms and food processing to mobility and manufacturing, many households and businesses depend on #ReliableEnergy in places where grid capacity, investment cycles and operational needs can be demanding. A new @Euractiv article looks at how #RenewableLiquidGases can support practical decarbonisation across these applications. They can build on established infrastructure, reduce lifecycle emissions in suitable uses, and support competitiveness, resilience, and real-world energy. #EnergyEverywhere #EnergyResilience #EuropeanIndustry euractiv.com/news/liquid-gasโ€ฆ

#Decarbonisation needs solutions that work in the real world: in #RuralCommunities, off-grid homes, on farms and in small businesses. #RenewableLiquidGases, including #bioLPG and renewable DME, can reduce lifecycle emissions in suitable existing liquid gas applications while maintaining reliable energy for #heating, #cooking and business operations. Their value lies in practical compatibility. Existing storage, appliances and delivery systems can continue to serve users, helping make lower-emission energy more accessible, affordable and inclusive, particularly where alternatives may be difficult or costly to deploy. Renewable liquid gases are one part of a #TechnologyNeutral approach to meeting everyday energy needs while reducing emissions. #EnergyEverywhere Read the article: liquidgaseurope.eu/news/reneโ€ฆ

Across #RuralEurope, the #EnergyTransition is lived every day: in homes that need reliable heating, on farms that must keep operating, and in local businesses that keep communities working. Rural households, farmers and local business owners want to help meet Europeโ€™s climate targets, but solutions must fit their buildings, infrastructure and budgets. Effective policy begins with a clear understanding of rural realities. Read more: liquidgaseurope.eu/news/ruraโ€ฆ #EnergyEverywhere

#ClimateNeutrality will not be delivered only in city centres. It will be delivered in #RuralHomes that need heating through winter, on farms that keep producing, and in the family businesses that keep communities alive. More than 137 million people live in predominantly #RuralAreas across the #EU. Their everyday reality must shape Europeโ€™s #EnergyFuture - through solutions that are practical, reliable and affordable, wherever people live. #EnergyEverywhere liquidgaseurope.eu/news/ruraโ€ฆ

The #EnergyTransition will be delivered differently across Europe. In #RuralCommunities and off-grid areas, local infrastructure, building stock, and household budgets shape what is practical and affordable. First published in May, this Euractiv article explores those realities and the role #RenewableLiquidGases can play in supporting progress. #EnergyEverywhere euractiv.com/news/liquid-gasโ€ฆ

Europeโ€™s #EnergyTransition must work everywhere. In rural and off-grid communities, people heat older homes, run farms and keep local businesses moving. Often beyond the reach of dense energy networks. #RenewableLiquidGases offer a reliable and feasible pathway to lower lifecycle emissions, using established infrastructure to deliver the energy communities need, where they need it. #RuralEurope is not behind. It operates differently, and Europeโ€™s #ClimatePolicy must work for that reality.

7 million households. 700,000 businesses. Electrification alone cannot reach them all. Together with 9 partner organisations, we are calling on the #EU to fully recognise #RenewableFuels in the Heating & Cooling Strategy and #REDIV. #RenewableLiquidGases. Existing infrastructure. No costly renovations. Long-term decarbonisation โ€” not a workaround. Five asks to policymakers ๐Ÿ‘‡ liquidgaseurope.eu/news/reneโ€ฆ #EnergyTransition #TechnologyNeutral

Yesterday at the European Parliament, Liquid Gas Europe participated in a key debate on road transport and the future of the #automotive sector. Ewa Abramiuk-Lete made the case for #RenewableLiquidGases as a practical, immediate pathway to lower emissions while building on existing vehicles, infrastructure, and industrial capacity. As the COโ‚‚ Standards Regulation revision progresses, a #TechnologyNeutral framework that recognises all viable #decarbonisation routes is not optional. It is essential. Thank you to Confindustria, ANFIA, Confindustria Energia, and MEP Letizia Moratti for a timely and important discussion.

Yesterday in Antwerp, President Emmanuel Macron delivered a message that goes to the heart of Europeโ€™s current crossroads: โ€œ๐˜ž๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜บ. Europeโ€™s decarbonisation pathway must remain open to all effective low-carbon solutions. Innovation does not happen in silos, and narrowing our options risks slowing progress at a time when speed matters most. Clean energy policy is no longer just environmental policy โ€” it is industrial, economic, and geopolitical policy. Secure, affordable, low-carbon energy will define Europeโ€™s resilience and strategic autonomy. Investors and innovators need clarity. Long-term, coherent frameworks are what unlock capital, scale technologies, and create jobs across Europeโ€™s value chains. Global competitors are investing at an unprecedented scale. Europe must respond with ambition and confidence. The takeaway from Antwerp is clear: competitiveness and climate leadership go hand in hand. With technology neutrality, regulatory certainty, and scaled-up investment, Europe can ensure it leads this transformation โ€” rather than follows it. #AntwerpDeclaration #SaveOurIndustry

Across sectors, industry leaders highlighted a shared challenge: Europeโ€™s cumulative energy and carbon costs โ€” driven by commodity prices and regulatory design โ€” risk undermining competitiveness. Delivering climate neutrality must go hand in hand with maintaining industrial strength. This requires pragmatic, technology-neutral solutions that minimise system costs, recognise existing infrastructure, and ensure a socially balanced transition. Europe must act โ€” with coherence, predictability, and competitiveness at the core. #AntwerpDeclaration

As the EU shapes its new #HeatingAndCooling Strategy, ENZA calls for a pragmatic, multi-energy approach โ€” and Liquid Gas Europe fully supports it. Europeโ€™s regions have very different realities, especially the 49M households off the gas grid. Recognising this diversity is key to a fair #EnergyTransition. ENZA calls for: โ€ข empowering local choices #LocalFlexibility โ€ข supporting all clean solutions #TechnologyNeutrality โ€ข clearer, predictable rollout frameworks #CleanEnergyDeployment Renewable liquid gases like bioLPG and rDME offer up to 80โ€“90% GHG cuts using existing systems โ€” a practical pathway for rural and off-grid communities #RenewableMolecules. A fair Strategy embraces Europeโ€™s diversity and gives every community a realistic route to decarbonise. liquidgaseurope.eu/news/enzaโ€ฆ

Great discussions at the WGMM Parliament Evening Event on 12 November โ€” an important moment to reflect on how Europe can accelerate a fair, competitive, and technology-neutral mobility transition. As an active member of the Working Group on Monitoring Methodologies (WGMM), Liquid Gas Europe was pleased to participate and engage with policymakers, industry partners, and technical experts from across the automotive and energy sectors. A clear message emerged: Europe needs a technology-neutral framework that enables every viable solution to contribute to decarbonising mobility โ€” quickly, affordably, and at scale. For Liquid Gas Europe, this means ensuring that the EU fully recognises the role of renewable liquid gases, a readily available pathway offering substantial and immediate GHG reductions. We continue to underline three key priorities: ๐Ÿ”น Embed technology neutrality in the upcoming COโ‚‚ standards and mobility legislation so that all low- and zero-carbon solutions โ€” both vehicles and fuels โ€” can contribute to EU climate goals. ๐Ÿ”น Establish clear, robust monitoring methodologies to trace and verify the use of COโ‚‚-neutral fuels, ensuring their climate benefits are accurately counted in road transport. ๐Ÿ”น Support renewable liquid gasesas part of Europeโ€™s broader decarbonisation pathway, especially in segments where electrification alone cannot deliver fast, affordable, or practical emissions reductions. As discussions advance on the future of EU mobility policy, Liquid Gas Europe stands ready to support a pragmatic, inclusive transition โ€” one that delivers climate ambition while keeping mobility accessible for citizens and businesses across Europe.
