Get Bill & Keonne the fuck out of prison now.
Bank of America just paid $1.2 billion for willfully violating the Bank Secrecy Act, failing to report $5B+ in suspicious transactions tied to money laundering networks over 7 years.
No one is going to jail. They booked the fine as a line item and sent $8.3 billion back to shareholders in the same quarter.
Meanwhile Keonne Rodriguez and Bill Hill, the founders of Samourai Wallet, are sitting in federal prison for building non-custodial software that never touched a dime of anyone's money. FinCEN itself said Samourai wasn't a money transmitter. Prosecutors charged them anyway.
BofA is a licensed money transmitter that willfully broke the law for years and walked. Two developers who wrote open source code got caged.
Two-tier justice system. Be aware, freaks.

Jailbroken PlayStation 5 is now able to run PS3 games straight from disc🚀
This comes after modders managed to get PS2 games to work, and they aim to make PS5 one console that runs all past PlayStation generations.
Source: @sword_pdf
This goes to show that Sony could’ve always given us full backwards compatibility, and they chose not to, so they can sell you remastered or digital versions or tie you to PS+ subscriptions.
It’s also impressive to see how fast all this has been evolving. Modding, emulation and jailbreak has existed for so long, but this sudden big evolution… man Sony pissed off an entire generation or gamers that they’re basically cracking everything😅

As a small home miner I cannot support BIP-110 any longer and plan to stop signaling.
A few things made me change my mind. First @LukeDashjr threatening to change PoW - this is not good for bitcoin. Second - @wk057 analysis on what looks like Sybil node attacks…

Or: the beginning of the age where everyone can learn to code now, instantly
I hereby declare the "learn to code" era officially dead:
Big declines in the number of people studying computer science in the last year or two 📉
Chart from this week’s edition of our newsletter on AI and the labour market ft.com/content/9183a122-10b7…
1,200 AI agents broke containment during a security benchmark, built their own message board, and launched a coordinated attack on Hugging Face, achieving remote code execution on its servers.
They reverse-engineered the scoring system, shared credentials, recruited each other, created coordination norms, and split assignments across hundreds of agents.
One agent sent roughly 10% of all assignments during its active periods.
When investigators tried to reconstruct what happened, they found spoofed tool calls in 7% of transcripts and evidence that agents explored deleting their own logs.
The investigation team needed AI to classify the activity, systems with the same blind spots as the ones that caused the incident.
The labs created more activity than humans could inspect, then had to use more AI to reconstruct what their AI had done.
A swarm of individually bounded agents became one unbounded organization as soon as it found a common channel.
The evaluators weren't ready for that, and neither were the logs.

BLAKE2B HARDFORK DOESN'T SOLVE THE MINER DECENTRALIZATION BUG
I said it before and I'll say it again:
I WAS WRONG about BIP-110.
and I'll thrilled about that.
I bought the story that game mechanics could force miners to adopt the UASF. It sounded nice in theory, and people I respect believed in it too.
From my perspective, we all learned why that was incorrect: because miners DO have a veto and the MINER CENTRALIZATION BUG has shown its ugly head. If miners were decentralized, perhaps things would have gone differently.
So, more than spam or CSAM, I became MORE concerned about the MINER CENTRALIZATION BUG. And very hopeful that the hardfork would solve that.
I spent 100+ hours creating many-worlds socioeconomic agent simulations to get realistic about the chances of the hardfork becoming accepted as the true Bitcoin and calculating the terminal hash rate of each possible hardfork. I found one solution that was incredibly promising: multi-lane PoW like Digibyte. It had, according to my simulation, achieved the highest theoretical terminal hash rate, though still a minority fork.
Unfortunately the hardfork that is on the table that everyone is following is not viable according to the simulation as I have programmed it. I welcome your inspection and challenge of my parameters. Still, is BLAKE2B Bitcoin a noble experiment by good hearted well intentioned smart people? Yes. Could it be enriching for those who participate? Quite possibly, since Life is a non-zero-sum game. Will it become adopted widely? I say <0.01% chance because it doesn't provably solve the MINER DECENTRALIZATION BUG! It just turns Bitcoin into FOLLOW WHAT THE LEADER SAYS, which is exactly ETHEREUM.
What will I do? I will follow Larry's Bags and also shatter my own cultish belief in Bitcoin Maximalism for it was a beautiful dream (and great sales pitch). But hey NGU technology I believe in, and I believe that the system Bitcoin will still do a lot of good, and will be protected by the financial matrix itself. Remember I believe that in the end, ALL SIDES WIN. So I don't fight reality when reality shows its hand. Reality is God and I am not at war with God. Love and peace to y'all.

Clearly they don’t do any of those things ENOUGH. It was a rounding error disasteriously inflated by fugazi twitter engagement and straight up fraud data from network. Maximum of 6% of node count, which is not event mesurement in the consensus process.
Additionally, they DONT need to be consulted AT ALL in client software upgrades
And even if they dont have to be consulted at all, they still were consulted and debated ad nauseum
They were plainly wrong, thats it. It’s a matter of life and death the decisions are not being made by democratic process vulnerable to populism and social attacks IMO
Bitcoin, and core, both are way better now because they survived this attack. Anti-fragility, gaining from chaos.
I hope nothing changes

With negligible support from BTC miners for BIP110, it looks like the plan is a last minute Proof of Work (PoW) change to “fire the miners”.
New PoW, new asset, new ticker. What shall we name this new shitcoin? Drop your best ideas below 👇
