The Trump Administration and @Interior are correcting in seeking a remand on the approval of Revolution Wind. This request is long overdue! @SaveNARW @GreenOceansRI @windaction maritime-executive.com/artic…
The carbon tax is coming due. This week, RGGI states tapped old allowance inventory to add supply to a market already clearing at $37.65/ton. Much steeper cap reductions begin in 2027. Our prices are only going up! @windaction @FiscalAlliance rggi.org/auctions/auction-re…
This massive wind project proposed for Maine lacks permits, has no spot in ISO-NE’s queue, and won’t be operational until after 2030, meaning it will not qualify for federal subsidies. I highly doubt it will ever get built. @windaction pressherald.com/2026/09/02/a…
In 2019, Liberty Utilities’ David Swain pushed to site 604' turbines just 500' from property lines, 664' to homes, despite residents' safety concerns. Now there've been 3 catastrophic turbine failures in 3 yrs. Liberty must be held accountable. @windaction windaction.org/posts/51429
A wholesale tax is about to hockey stick Massachusetts electricity rates, according to a new study from the @FiscalAlliance #mapoli
This court order is a process ruling, not a win for BIG wind. It does not force DoD to approve any project, lock in prior decisions, or ignore updated nat. security risks. DoD retains full authority to find risk unmitigable & refuse clearance. @windaction stateline.org/2026/08/07/jud…
ISO New England reports Canadian wildfire smoke in July cut regional solar output 50%—about 3,000 MW. Smoke also lowered temps pushing actual demand 4,000 MW below forecast. Amazing how one atmospheric event affected both supply and demand! @windaction nepool.com/wp-content/upload…
Congratulations @wind_concerns for a great job in Alberta protecting the public from harmful wind turbine impacts! windconcerns.com/1500m-setba… @windaction
Thank you Master Resource and R. Bradley this important piece! masterresource.org/linowes-l… @IERenergy @windaction @SaveNARW
Here we go again! @Reuters is recycling the stale wind/solar argument: end subsidies & power rates will rise.
Our response 🧵1/7 windaction.org/posts/56966 @windaction @GavinJMaguire @shellenberger @pwrhungry
6/7 Now that demand is growing, the same subsidies are portrayed as essential to prevent shortages.
Under this logic, stagnant demand requires subsidies for decarbonization, while rising demand requires them for resource adequacy. There is never a right time to end them.
7/7 That is not timing-sensitive economic analysis. @Reuters is pushing an unfalsifiable defense of permanent government support. Time for big media to test industry claims—not launder them into economic common sense.
Great work!! @windaction
Replying to @wattsupwiththat
Yes it’s true. The project noise consultant referenced the concavity issue early in the project, but did not analyze concavity in the project area. I analyzed concavity, found numerous occurences requiring a defensive decibel design margin, and informed the Board in 2025 of the modeling deficiency. The consultant did not respond to my analysis and did not incorporate the findings- they stuck with their model, no changes.
Pave 1000's of acres of open land with solar panels and suffer this environmental disaster. Horrible! @windaction
Is anyone surprised? @windaction @shellenberger
Unbelievable damage to a wind farm near Highmore, South Dakota after this morning’s storm. #sdwx
