This Wednesday in SoCal - looks like my afternoon will be wide open before my redeye back east (At Sherwood on Tuesday).
Considering options, haven't been to @goathillpark yet, so that's the leader in the clubhouse. Last few trips there were Santa Ana, Riv, Bel Air, Maggie Hathaway, Mulholland Hills, and Lakeside. Will consider any ideas or invitations. Throw em at me...
A memorable visit today to the amazing @jayblasi project site at Whitehall Sands in West Central Wisconsin. And yes, its even more spectacular than any images will show.
Yesterday we grabbed a spin around the back 7 holes open for member preview play at Crooked Water GC in Minneapolis, and the just recently opened new shortcourse called "The Bend".
Holes of 75-120ish yards, just steps from the clubhouse.
In the planning stage, many members weren't completely sold on what a shortcourse would mean to the club. Now, it's THE spot and vibe that provides an opportunity for a 9 hole social in an hour or less. Holes from 75-120ish yards.
What a mighty transformative @jayblasi project for this club.
Next, we bolted 4 hrs east to @SentryWorld for a site visit with Superintendent Matt Smith regarding future changes for the upcoming Women's Senior Open in 2028.

Adventurous Tuesday that involved planes, trains and automobiles and its still early in the day. WPB--Fort Lauderdale. Back to --WPB. Brightline train--Orlando (MCO), all before noon. We'll end up in Minneapolis before the gloaming and tour a renovation project site by a super talented architect in his prime. Tomorrow we'll walk two more sites in Wisconsin.
More specific on these projects in the coming days.
Travel is the best education.

Championship News: Salem Country Club Selected to Host Three Future @USGA Championships
The championships will mark Salem’s first USGA events since 2017 and celebrate a century since the club hosted its first championship in 1932.
If you could make realistic history at any club in the world (obviously, we all want a claret jug or green jacket), which bit of history, and at what club?
I'm very lucky to own a bit of history at @BandonDunesGolf (4th) Sheep Ranch, and at Golden Gate Park (8th).
If I had my pick, this one would probably be my choice, because of the majesty of the setting, and just how few have done it. Just getting on at CPC is a lifetime achievement in itself.
RIP to Dr. Bob Adams who passed away this week, left his mark on the world in a hugely positive way. Being part of the Cypress 16 club is one for @WellsAdams to always remember and revisit in memory of his Pops. Cheers to BA.
