Name a city and ChatGPT names a person. Say "Florida" and it gives you a map. One of the clearest patterns in Linkifi's Portals or People study: ๐Ÿ“ Questions that name a city: 37% recommend a named agent ๐Ÿ—บ Questions that just say "Florida": 12% Same intent, 3ร— the chance of a person being recommended, just by adding a place. And phrasing matters as much as geography: ๐Ÿ’ฌ Conversational questions (first person, a situation, a budget: "We're buying our first home in Lakeland and have no idea how to pick an agent"): 41% name an agent, 17% a portal โ“ Plain questions ("Who is the best realtor in Tampa?"): 19% name an agent, 7% a portal Conversational prompts are how people actually talk to ChatGPT. And they produce the most recommendations of every kind. What that means if you're an agent: the buyers who will find you through AI are asking about your city, in full sentences, with their real situation attached. Your visibility has to be built around those questions, at city level, not around "Florida real estate". To be fair to the data: these aren't independent of what's being asked, so read them as descriptive, not causal. But the direction is clear. Link to the full study in the first comment ๐Ÿ‘‡

Client coverage win. Not a quote. Not a mention. A bylined feature. Kelvin ร‡obanaj(@kelvincobanaj) , CEO of ZeroRank AI (@zerorank_ai), just had a full feature published in Startups Magazine under his own name: โ€œWhen AI remembers the company you used to be.โ€ This is exactly why we freaking love Authority PR. Anyone can get a 2-line quote dropped into a roundup. Bylined authorship is a different league. The publication is handing your expert the whole page and saying โ€œyouโ€™re the authority here, you write it.โ€ What that does for the expert: โœ๏ธ Demonstrable authority. Itโ€™s not us saying heโ€™s an expert, itโ€™s a national startup publication putting his name at the top of a feature. Thatโ€™s proof you can point to in a sales call, a pitch deck or a podcast intro. ๐Ÿง  Thought leadership, not just visibility. Heโ€™s not reacting to someone elseโ€™s story. Heโ€™s setting the agenda on AI visibility and how AI models misremember pivoted companies. Thatโ€™s his lane, in his words. ๐Ÿค– AI models read bylines. When ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity decide who to recommend for โ€œAI visibility toolsโ€, authored pieces on trusted domains are exactly the signals they weigh. A byline ties the expert, the topic and the brand together in 1 crawlable place. ๐Ÿ”— The link lands in the author bio. A branded link from an editorially controlled page, inside a feature thatโ€™s actually about his category. Thatโ€™s a link that compounds. ๐Ÿ” Itโ€™s reusable forever. 1 byline becomes a LinkedIn post, a newsletter story, a case study line, a โ€œfeatured inโ€ logo and a credibility anchor for every future pitch. ๐Ÿ“ˆ Journalists notice. Once a spokesperson has authored for 1 publication, the next editor says yes faster. Bylines beget bylines. Quotes get you seen. Bylines get you believed. If you want your spokesperson published under their own name, not just quoted, thatโ€™s what Authority PR is built for. Just because something works in ChatGPT or Gemini today doesn't mean it's worth building your entire marketing strategy around. Thomas Johnson, founder of Heroic Digital, explains why brands need to stop chasing short-term AI visibility hacks and start investing in activities that deliver genuine business value, from YouTube content to relevant editorial links and digital PR. AI algorithms can change overnight, but a strong brand doesn't disappear with the next update. Watch the full episode to discover why sustainable authority building beats chasing arbitrary SEO metrics.

1 in 10 agents ChatGPT recommends in Florida carries the Keller Williams name. We pulled every agent recommendation out of 300 ChatGPT answers about buying and selling in Florida. 870 recommendations. Then we looked at the brokerage behind each name. ๐Ÿฅ‡ Keller Williams: 10.1% (88 listings) ๐Ÿฅˆ Sotheby's International Realty: 6.0% (52) ๐Ÿฅ‰ Compass: 3.6% (31) โ†’ Douglas Elliman 2.3%, Coldwell Banker 2.1%, eXp 2.0%, RE/MAX 1.7% Keller Williams alone gets more recommendations than the next 2 brands combined. That's mostly sheer headcount in Florida's map listings. The luxury answers are a different world. Ask about Palm Beach, Naples or Miami and Sotheby's, Compass, Douglas Elliman and Christie's agents come back almost exclusively. But here's the stat brokerages should actually sit up for: 51% of the agents ChatGPT recommended carry no recognisable brokerage brand at all. Independents and small local firms. 651 distinct names across 870 recommendations, and 42 names appeared in 3 or more answers. The brand on the sign helps. It isn't what decides it. The agent's own ratings, reviews and directory rankings are. Link to the full study in the first comment ๐Ÿ‘‡

I genuinely believe the brands that will survive and thrive in the new era of search will be those that have built demonstrable authority, both for their businesses and the people behind them. It's no longer just about ranking on Google. It's about becoming the brand that ChatGPT recommends, journalists quote, customers trust, and your industry recognises. 61% of everything ChatGPT cites is a directory or a "best of" list. Reddit: 1%. We tracked 2,490 citations across 30 buying questions for 21 straight days. Here's where they came from: ๐Ÿ“‹ Directories and listicles: 61% (200 domains) ๐Ÿข Businesses' own websites: 26% (113 domains) ๐Ÿ—‚ Everything else (forums, YouTube, tools): 5% (116 domains) ๐Ÿ› Government and professional bodies: 4% (15 domains) ๐Ÿ“ฐ News and media: 3% (12 domains) ๐Ÿ‘ฝ Reddit: 1% (2 domains) That's the volume. Now the part that matters more: how long each type holds on. We measured how many consecutive days a citation survived once it appeared: โ†’ Government and professional bodies: 5.3 days โ†’ Directories and listicles: 4.8 days โ†’ Business sites: 4.4 days โ†’ News and media: 2.9 days โ†’ Other: 1.1 days Directories are both the biggest source of citations and among the stickiest. News gets cited rarely and disappears fast. A forum thread lasts about a day. That's a strange result if you think about AI search the way you think about Google. Reddit is all over page 1 of Google. In 840 ChatGPT answers to buying questions, it appeared 2 domains' worth. The practical read: being on the right lists matters more than any single mention. Your own site is the second most cited source type, and it's worth getting right, but the "best X in Y" pages, the comparison pages and the category directories are the durable real estate. That's where ChatGPT keeps going back. Get the full study, plus every study we've run, free inside our Skool community. Link in the first comment ๐Ÿ‘‡

AI search has unlimited possible prompts, so does traditional keyword targeting still matter? Thomas Johnson, founder of Heroic Digital, explains why commercial keywords still underpin AI search through query fan-out, but building a strong organic footprint through PR, authoritative media coverage and consistent brand mentions is what helps businesses get discovered across different AI conversations. With AI recommendations changing unpredictably, tracking individual prompts alone isn't enough. Watch the full episode to understand why brand authority and trust could be the real competitive advantage in AI search.

This is what itโ€™s all about ๐Ÿ™Œ 2 pieces of top-tier coverage for 1 client. On the same day. ๐Ÿ“ฐ Cosmopolitan UK ๐Ÿ‘— British Vogue Not paid placements. Not advertorials. Real editorial features, with our client quoted as the expert ๐ŸŽฏ It doesnโ€™t get much better than this. This is what demonstrable authority looks like. When the worldโ€™s biggest publications quote you, Google trusts you more, AI starts naming you, and your buyers see you as the obvious choice ๐Ÿ† Thatโ€™s what we do at Linkifi, every single week ๐Ÿ’ช If you want your brand featured in the publications your customers actually read, letโ€™s talk ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ“ฉ DM me or book a free discovery call (link in the first comment) #DigitalPR #LinkBuilding #PR #AuthorityBuilding #Linkifi
