And ppl always have something to say abt Zelda ppl were critical of wind walkers design and now it’s acclaimed. Skyward sword still had a 91 on metacritic review so it’s not like ppl didn’t enjoy the game or think it was good
That doesn’t rly mean much that game was criticized for motion controls and clunky gameplay far more than the design of the formula. Botw was fresh and innovative that’s great but it’s also flawed. A traditional Zelda is far more polished and that means something to a lot ofppl

Yea I mean it’s pretty disingenuous to say “echoes of wisdom” like that’s a real mainline entry. Good fun game but heavily experimental obviously not a return to form for even 2d Zelda. Link between world was a success and that’s rly the last entry we had
Misstep is incorrect the overall success and critical acclaim has made Nintendo think that ppl don’t want traditional Zelda anymore which isn’t true. A lot of ppl like the new ground of botw but a lot still miss the traditional Zelda formula and throwing out the later is bad
