Here is @StephMcConnell_ in her second conversation with me. We talked about assuming best intent, reimagining leadership and how to create a village with low floors, wide walls and high ceilings. Enjoy: podcasts.apple.com/au/podcas… @NSWEducation @LindfieldLearn @NSWSLI

Here is my chat with the brilliant @StephMcConnell_. We discussed Lindfield Learning Village, changing educational landscapes and why we must question everything. Thank you @LindfieldLearn for leading the way. @NSWEducation @NSWSLI

Last week, LLV had the wonderful opportunity to welcome visitors from yet another part of the globe to our school.
Lou alongside Maya from Stage 3 guided our guests through a day in the life of LLV - what learning looks, feels, and sounds like in our lives. 🇿🇦✨

I’d agree with that! Loved this conversation between two curious, passionate & engaging educational leaders on doing school differently, the challenge of the personal/professional nature of change, & almond milk🥛
Anyone would enjoy listening to this one!

I've just received the official OK to share this clip about an amazing school I visited last month in Sydney called Lindfield Learning Village @LindfieldLearn -vimeo.com/createedu/lindfiel…

Picture this: educators from America travelling nearly 15,000 kilometres to join forces with us here at Lindfield, all in the name of learning!
Thank you to the team from Barlow Park Charter School who visited our school - an invaluable opportunity for us all. @riponschools
Come join our school, where we learn to play, and play to learn! Full details on this position are available on our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Happy Public Education Day! I’m #ProudToBePublic - primary & high school (which I didn’t finish but got there in the end thanks to TAFE and mature-age entry to uni).
I’m now grateful for the incredible public school my son goes to. Thank you @LindfieldLearn & @StephMcConnell_
As part of their studies in Visual Arts, our Stage 5 students spent the day hopping between creative spaces around Sydney, including @ArtGalleryofNSW where they made their own contributions to an exhibit using clay.
Art exhibits are not just for looking - they are for doing!🎨🖌️
Last week, LLV had the pleasure of hosting 30 incredible educators from all across Australia who had the chance to be a student for a day and experience our vibrant classrooms firsthand. A big thank you to @derekbartels and all the educators, who came from as far as QLD and SA!

Have a Kinder-Year 10 student who is a budding artist? Enter their artwork into the 2023 Operation Art exhibition to be held at @sydolympicpark. Operation Art is a wonderful initiative of @westmeadkids & @NSWEducation. Applications close 31 May. More info: artsunit.nsw.edu.au/program/…
How to instill a lifelong love of learning? Play! Learning should be an active process of curiosity and discovery - and 2023 is the Year of Play here at LLV.
Imagine teaching a class of kindergartners in a "magical forest," an outdoor space where learning adventures come to life, and students are free to be their wiggly—and sometimes noisy—selves. #MakingLearningMorePlayful

The story behind LLV has just been published in an international research journal: #Innovative #learning #environments. Rethinking #school spaces between #pedagogy, #architecture and #design, by Fiona Young, PhD, Meredith ASH, and Stephanie McConnell bit.ly/LLVArticles22
LLV muscles it's way to NSW top 100 schools in 2 cohorts! Stephanie McConnell was over the moon about the news, attributing the result to the “powerful relationships” between teachers & students.“It’s a brilliant endorsement of what we’ve been doing."
