FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 17, 2026 MEDIA CONTACT: Erika Thomas, Public Information Office Manager, 402-805-7469 Fatality Accident at 84th St and O St. On Friday, October 16th at 10:05 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department and emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of 84th and O St on a report of a two-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation has shown that a sedan, heading westbound on O St was preparing to turn left to go south at 84th St. While making it’s turn, the sedan was struck by a truck that was heading eastbound on O St through the intersection. A passenger in the sedan, a 17-year-old Lincoln resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the sedan was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call our non-emergency number at 402-441-6000.
