Feeling very happy with my art and myself recently 😌 been working on some MTG TBOI cards :3
I love Hytales' cataloging sorting assets into categories. IDs are sorted to their according attributes.
F.e. 'Metal_Goblin_Pipe_Long' each word allows you to filter to the specific trait you are looking for. Need Metal? Get all Metal! Need Pipes? Get all Pipes! GG EZ

I'll donate $15,000 to the first streamer who kills the Gobliterator boss in hard mode, no armor, no potion, no glitch, in hardcore mode (you can use iron weapons available in Exploration Mode). It must be streamed so we can watch the VOD; don't cheat, bro.

I am thrilled to announce that I will officially be working on Hytale!
I can't express in a few words how much it means to me and how much I've been waiting for it. All these years of waiting and months with you - friends - I am extremely grateful.
MUSHEE AT HYTALE!!!!!!!!

Emergency Minecraft & Hytale commissions Open!
I'm facing severe financial hardship and don't know how I'll survive the month. Sharing and Interacting would already mean the world to me

A difficult update about Hytale: the bosses will be extremely hard in hard mode, despite the team trying to stop me at every step of the way. This is a difficult update, pun intended.

Still a little rough around the edges, but it's finally starting to shape into something really special! 🎲✨️
@Simon_Hypixel I hope you don't mind me borrowing the Hytale assets for inspiration. Obviously nothing here is official, I'm just playing around with the concept. 😊

Yes, I don't want AI gen "Art" in Hytale, and I value human creations more than anything. Because even if imperfect, it comes from passion and soul. Show that you care about your product: use human art for your mods. We prefer an ugly handmade thumbnail rather than perfect slop
Update 6 went well! Player count is going up even without any new content, and much of that is because the mod browser is easy to use and modders have new tools to play with! Things are looking really good from here. Better than I predicted!
Eli listed what is coming to the mod browser in the next few days below, and that list is just the start. We are still in ship fast, break things, fix later mode, and that is on purpose!
Now, a note about some modders using AI thumbnail art, since it has been my whole timeline for three days. Just so everyone understands, I am not a fan of AI art at all, and I would rather it wasn't there. I also do not want to turn the browser into a police force. Every layer of moderation either slows down mods getting approved or lands on my team as overhead, and none of it fixes next year, when real and generated will be basically impossible to tell apart. If we take an automated solution, people will just route around the checks. It sounds simple to just moderate. It isn't, and we aren't going to staff a thumbnail review across hundreds of thousands of mods. That said, we have already communicated with our partners to explore solutions. I'm not happy with the current state of things, and everyone is aware. Please be patient.
I also want to be clear about what you actually see on social media. A lot of the screenshots going around use sort filters that show way more slop than the default pages do. Just try it yourself: open the main mod page, and there is barely any (if any?).
In the meantime, modders, please use screenshots for thumbnails. If you need art, work with an artist, or make bad art yourself and fix it later. Honestly, that is still better than gen art and up your chances of getting featured by us.
Longer term, players will help a lot with this. Favorites, ratings, you vote with what you like. The creator rewards we have talked about should also let modders afford artists, and we will promote the artists who can help them.
On our side, Hytale does not ship generative AI art and never will. Not a single pixel. I hope modders make the same choice. We are not going to hire hundreds of people to fight an impossible fight, but we hope our modders understand how important art and artists are. We are betting players reward the people who choose the right path.
One last thing. I was trying to spend the weekend with my kids, something I barely did this past year because of Hytale, and it was a bit disappointing to watch some of the loud voices go full panic when it had barely been a weekend. You know me by now. I always come back with a solution. Give us a bit of room to work, and bring suggestions instead of demanding an answer on a Saturday. I saved Hytale for the passion and fun of it, and I want to keep it that way.

I'm honored to share that the official documentary Technoblade Never Dies is now in production!
You can submit testimonials, fan art, animations, and so on here: technobladeneverdies.com/
When I got the opportunity to be part of this documentary, I had one special request: involve the Technoblade community!
It's been a pleasure working with everyone involved to get this into production. After my first meeting with the director, Steven Lake, I knew he was the right person. He truly understands what Technoblade meant to all of us. Please check out the video on the website to learn more about his vision!
For Hypixel and me personally, it was important to help make this documentary happen as a thank you to Technoblade and his family, a thank you for all the great memories and opportunities he gave us. I don't think I'd be where I am today without him. Even before the fame, he helped shape Hypixel behind the scenes and was such a good person to be around.
It's also been a pleasure to work with one of Technoblade's artists, @jester_u, on the artwork for the website such a wonderful person!
Please note that all of Hypixel's profits from this doc will be going to charity. My honest goal is for my two young kids to see this documentary, learn who Technoblade was to all of us, and get inspired.
Again, thank you, Alex, for all the great memories. We miss you dearly.
Technoblade never dies.
