20 years ago there was no frigatebirds nesting on mainland Ascension, this was today.
The feral cat eradication on Ascension is a huge conservation success and this is the evidence! #Seabirds

Happy International Mountain Day!
The conservation team have started to monitor the Fairy Tern nests along the Green Mountain road. Various Eucalyptus trees have been marked with tree tags to help the team identify nesting areas.

At an approximate age of 74, the queen of seabirds returned to Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge last week and began interacting with a male.
