The XTC podcast I did with stellar cast of bassist Colin Moudling, Blur’s @DaveRowntree and BBC’s @SamiraAhmedUK (which happened as a result of @Heidi_Labour s speech at their statue unveiling) is out: Swindon’s finest remain criminally underrated; hoping this can be rectified
Next month is the 40th anniversary of XTC’s Skylarking and to celebrate, today's What Do You Call That Noise? The XTC Podcast features XTC’s Colin Moulding, Blur’s Dave Rowntree, BBC Radio 4 presenter Samira Ahmed and MP Rupa Huq. @burningshednews xtclimelight.com/2026/09/18/…

loved the @LimelightXTC podcast and your joy for XTC Rupa. As you know, XTC was my first gig. Also at the @thesohopoly we have a room above which was originally called G.02, which we renamed GO 2 and eventually became our 'Go To' Space. Another reason for you to visit!

Blimey, what would Bob have really thought of them? Seriously though, compare this to what they were making on Skylarking and Apple Venus . You wouldn't think they were the same band . @lee0969 @LimelightXTC @clairywairy88
XTC - "Radios in Motion". (1978). A cameraman's nightmare: The show was known for requiring bands to play 100% live, unlike "Top of the Pops" where everyone mimed to a backing track. XTC arrived with such intensity and such phenomenal volume that the BBC technical crew panicked.

@LimelightXTC Hi Mark, Very nice video about XTC from a French fan -& also guitarist. He makes videos about unfairable forgotten bands & artists, where he also analyzes their art, musically speaking. This 1's very complete... but in french 🫤 Laurent youtube.com/watch?v=Tjzjj1zq…

I met Steve briefly when he dropped in to see Andy one day when I was working for him, rebuilding the "shed" studio in the Noughties. Andy gave me this neat watercolour painted by a Canadian XTC fan

Best trax? Nigel, That Is The Way, Helicopter . @LimelightXTC
XTC - Drums & Wires. Sep 79. UK Peak: 34. Sadly the reviewer and I weren't on the same wavelength here. Loved most of 'Black Sea' but the same can't be said here. '...Nigel' & 'Outside World' were best in show. A bit too jagged & angular for me 5/10 #smashhitsalbumreviews
