Temperatures across northern China surged today, with Shenyang setting a record for the latest date to reach 30°C! Intense heat is expected to persist in north China over the next 3 days, with many areas likely to break records for the hottest mid-September. @extremetemps

Today's heat wave in the south can only be described as crazy. A total of 12 provincial administrative regions across the country broke the record of the highest temperature in October, 8 provincial capital cities broke the record of the highest temperature in October!
