Lightbridge (Nasdaq: $LTBR) CEO Seth Grae joined @SchwabNetwork’s Market on Close with @sam_vadas, live from Tokyo, where he’s attending Top Fuel 2026, the world’s leading #NuclearFuel technology conference.
Seth explains how Lightbridge Fuel is designed to produce up to 20% more power from existing reactors and about a third more from new ones, meaning three new reactors could deliver the output of four. He compares that to the recent Google-Constellation deal, which adds roughly one reactor’s worth of power by upgrading equipment across 11 plants.

The federal government is expected to provide @VistraCorp with about $4.2 billion in financing to increase output or “uprate” three of its four nuclear plants.
“Nuclear plants can be uprated through several methods, including using more enriched fuel or increasing the amount of new fuel loaded during refueling. Utilities can also make major equipment upgrades, such as replacing turbines, to increase reactor output,” according to the report.

“Amazon.com Inc. has agreed to purchase 690 megawatts of power from Constellation Energy Corp. in a deal that will help the biggest US nuclear operator boost capacity at the only reactors in Maryland,” writes @willwwade in @business.
