2024 was an eventful year, to say the least. Welcome to our recap and what's next! This post will take you down memory lane, examining what happened, where we are now, and what to expect next. Before diving in, we want to thank those who stuck with us and trusted us to return from the dead. It means more than you can imagine. With this out of the way, let's begin. When our project was still called Grand Base and focused on RWAs, we started 2024 by working towards bridging our smart contracts, liquidity, and everything else from Mainnet to Base, as we had always planned. Fast-forward to March 1st, we moved to BASE, and everything went faster; in a single month, we gained tons of new holders, reached an ATH of almost 200m market cap, and, above all, launched our first dApp on testnet to start implementing our vision of making RWAs accessible to all—more than 1,000 users tried it! Were we lucky to be in the right place at the right time? Maybe, but we also believed in our idea, and our founder kept pushing for it. Shortly after, disaster struck: our dreams were shattered. Liquidity was gone. The next few days were probably some of the hardest we had ever faced: accusations of rug-pulling, death threats, and paranoia. For weeks, we collaborated with exchanges, law enforcement, and on-chain sleuths to understand what happened and how to recover from it. Thanks to everyone's work, we discovered that our previous CTO was a Lazarus team member waiting for the right time to strike. In the following months, we rebuilt our project to return in full force. Rebranding was a must, and Reflect was born. We relaunched with the liquidity we salvaged, found trustworthy new partners, and rebuilt @aeroxyz's and other partners' trust. Fast-forward to today: We are building the product of our dreams, Flight Fren, an AI agent that will help you invest and trade efficiently, quickly, and securely. We recently saw an uptick in interest in AI Agents and our project. We are very excited about what the future holds for us. We recently revealed our new website with a slightly refreshed visual identity: reflect.now/ This is the first step toward our exciting future. We will launch new burn mechanisms for $RFL in the next few weeks and provide the first glimpses into our AI Agentic future with a V1. Thanks for standing with us; we will not forget it.
