Tweets like this are exactly why some people became “Gyökeres fans” not necessarily because they particularly like him, but because the level of scapegoating he receives is absolutely unreal.
The entire team had zero xG on target until Gyökeres came on. It was sterile possession without any real penetration.
Accounts like this have no accountability or standards for Havertz and the other attackers who played until the 80th minute, yet they’re quick to blame Gyökeres for not getting a shot on target, despite how noticeably better the team became the moment he came on.
24 minutes on the pitch. 0 shots on target for the 41st time in 63 appearances. His one off-target shot attempt was a nothing moment that carried no threat.
Just painful that we're out here celebrating the most expensive Arsenal striker signing of all time running around a bit, losing all 4 of his ground duels, and largely doing nothing of note with his 12 touches because he can't escape EPL defenders grabbing him (62% pass completion rate).
Arsenal attack ID is so bad...

Sometimes I feel like Havertz's dropping deep and wide gimmick is more getting in the way than providing a useful option for the attack

LYINGGGGGGG you signed him to be an 8. I was there I remember he was Xhaka’s replacement. all he does is LIE

Arteta is only deceiving himself.
This is Havertz 4th season at Arsenal and he’s only managed to do 15 goals in all competitions once.
Also, it’s his 7th season in England considering his 3 years at Chelsea and he’s never scored more than 15 goals in all comps in a season.
🗣️ Mikel Arteta believes Kai Havertz is the type of striker that can score 25-30 goals per season:
"Yes, I think he has the ability to be a top-class striker. Yes, I think he has it.'
"That's why he's playing there as well, and that's why we signed him.
"I think he has it, and he needs that volume of games and action.
"If you give him that, I'm a BIG believer that, yes, he can do it."

Arteta exposed again. He signed Havertz to play as a midfielder. Now he is saying he was signed a striker

He was signed as a midfielder, failed, and now Mikel is out here looking at him like he’s Haaland just because he’s tall & left-footed. 280kpw. It’s his 4th season, 39 goals in 120 appearances. Bro is pushing 28 and still hasn’t found a role he’s actually good at.

You don’t get to do this when it was your first clean sheet in the league since January.
Pls.
