@LifeKitchen has some exciting new projects this year, ONLY our physical cookery school in the North East is closing, Life Kitchen is still surviving and supporting ♥️
It’s the end of an era, it’s with a heavy heart that I can announce today we close the doors on the iconic @LifeKitchen Cookery School.
It has been our immense privilege to be custodians of such a beautiful building with so much history in our beautiful, home city.
The school ran for 5 years helping thousands of people and has been host to celebrities, politicians, TV crews, parties, celebrations and of course many many of our iconic multi-award-winning cookery classes.
Extremely tough economic times, continued rising costs and lack of funding are just some of the factors behind our decision, the building is Grade 2 listed and is extremely expensive to maintain, heat and insure.
Thank you to everyone who made our dreams come true, the hundreds of you who helped build it, the thousands of you that used our services.
I will never forget our opening party with @Nigella_Lawson and I cherish how far we have come.
Do not fear, Life Kitchen continues. We will continue to provide our service to those who need it and have lots of great things to announce shortly.
But for now, from me @Kimdukee and the Life Kitchen team, thank you and au-revoir..
