The robot vacuum cleaner may end up being the best money we spend this year... it's terrible at cleaning the carpet, but it's awesome at getting the kids to keep the floor picked up so it doesn't "eat" their toys.
Today I couldn’t stop myself from laughing during some poor guys door-to-door sales pitch… he was running through this long memorized speech and I was just waiting for him to finish when I realized how fucking absurd the whole thing was since neither of us wanted to be there.
I feel pretty bad about laughing because there was no hiding it, but seriously quit banging on doors trying to land $15K siding and window jobs… I have never once been convinced to hire someone because they showed up unannounced and asked to look around my house.
I’d camp out all night for tickets to this guaranteed B movie.

When I was in third grade I had a seizure in the classroom. We found out later that instead of providing aid or calling for help, my teacher yelled at my unresponsive body and then proceeded to assign discipline to me for misbehaving. 1/x
It was several minutes later when I came to that she finally realized the severity and had me walk alone to another building to seek help from the nurse still in a postictal state. 2/x

100% this. Rehashing tired stereotypes about certain patients, conditions, other healthcare providers, etc. is not only damaging to EMS as a “Profession” but also ensures the next generation are beginning their careers with unnecessary bias towards others.
