We're mid book-move in the Library at the moment, getting ready for our new space on Oxford Rd📦
Some of our wings are currently closed, but we have lots of alternative study spaces and PCs available throughout the Library building: buff.ly/4cupJsT

If you want to understand what white privilege is, it’s the ability to walk down the street knowing that you’re safe from racist abuse. It’s the privilege of not having to second guess whether someone is judging you because of the colour of your skin.
SPEAK UP AGAINST HATE.

Encounter Festival (@LancsEncounter) hits the streets again in September - leading up to it I'll be doing singing workshops in Preston and Lancaster. Do come and join us for songs of longing and light to welcome autumn... #CountyOfSong countyofsong.substack.com/p/…

Mark & Debbie from #Spellow Hub, express their sorrow after the destruction of their community hub. The service gives vital support to the community & the devastation caused by the appalling criminal actions of a minority has left people in shock.

Heartbroken to think kids have been robbed of a safe, community space to read and learn. So I’ve set up a fundraiser to try and replenish some of the books destroyed and help get Spellow Library back on its feet. Shares and donations welcome
Proud to stand up to racism in our community today #StandUpToRacism #RefugeesAreWelcomeHere
#Lancaster says refugees are welcome here. Fascists are not ✊🏽
Have fallen in love with Glasgow already (spot the Library) 🏴#librarianontour #Glasgow @is_glasgow @uofglibrary
However the night before opening to the public on 20 October, 1911 at 9.45pm, after a day's work at Miller St, library staff loaded an open-top tram car with books and journals onto the line from Argyle St to Kent Road (3)
and working through the night, had every book and magazine in place before 9.30 am opening” #LibraryLife #Glasgow

Opening spring 2025, The Secret Public exhibition examines the influence of LGBTQ+ performers, artists and activists on popular culture. Influenced by @JonSavage1966 latest book, the show presents key pieces from his extensive collection, now part of the British Pop Archive.
Feeling #McrMetProud at my first @ManMetUni graduation ceremony today. Congratulations to the #ClassOf2024
