Finally, we ventured down the Euston Road to @WellcomeLibrary, where we were able to see the collections, including the incredible art store. We ended the day by lounging around in the free-to-access library, viewing the masterpieces (pictured – and adding some of our own).
In July we descended once more upon London, and went to the mother of all libraries: @britishlibrary. We had an excellent personal tour, were able to venture into the basement stacks, explored the reading rooms. Safe to say we feel very lucky!
A few of us made it to @TrinityCollCam to visit the Wren Library! Rare books abound here, including Newton’s collection, some Winnie the Pooh first drafts, a 'monkfish' and (unexpectedly) a piece of Voltaire’s dressing gown.

Then it was back to school for our intrepid trainees, as they visited the library at Hills Road Sixth Form College @HillsRoadNews and gained an insight into school librarianship.🤓
Next it was across Sidgwick site to the Radzinowicz Library @CamCriminology, where the highlight was seeing their collection of artworks created by incarcerated artists, including a very large papier-mâché hippo head.
