Running another in-person workshop in London for building 3D worlds and games using @LibiEngine . We are building the infrastructure and tools for the open 3D web. As part of @antiuniversity - Come join us tomorrow at Shoreditch library, Free and no booking needed.

Not bad for our first day! One simple prompt: “build a Greek temple like the Temple of Hephaestus”
Output is procedural and parametric (you can change the size of columns etc) all editable via JavaScript. @LibiEngine goal is to be the easiest way to build complex 3D in the web!

Play and creativity is therapeutic. @LibiEngine isn't just a new 3D game engine. Making anything in 3D should feel like putting a brush to a canvas, a pencil to paper. And AI should feel natural and not disturb the creator's flow.

Still need to bring in more assets for the environments and do a bit of optimization, but we are getting there. That's what the open web is going to look like, sooner than you imagine

First look at the volumetric cloud system, it is fully integrated with the landscape. Still need to fix the TAA but can you believe this is happening in the browser? No streaming involved

Testing tonight and wanted to share latest with @LibiEngine. What we do with Wasm and WebGPU will ultimately make AAA level 3D graphics accessible to all via browser.
In this video technique-wise: wind-based foliage animation, translucency, contact shadows. soft foliage without needing depth peeling

Yup, it has been my reference for engine development, wonder how close I can get to that on webgpu alone.

3D on the web is going to be massive. This is us testing the landscaping tools. Thanks to Wasm and WebGPU.

Started working on the menu for customizing the terrain population. Should be easy enough to use!

1. “Why do you need blockchain?”
This is why the future of UGC or any digital goods need to be backed up with decentralized storage and rights. Web3 would definitely have solved this problem.

Last but not least, the boolean operator. Beside the beveling, it is the one other complex geometry tool to implement because of the many edge cases and the numerous mathematical challenges it involves. Almost there!

Finally got around to implementing a proper node interface for the geometry generator. I think I did a pretty decent job at auto-generating the UVs. Now I just need to finish the boolean operator...

Why vibe code when you'll be able to no-code?
What we are building at @LibiEngine is the foundation of 3D on the web (aka metaverse): the ability to edit and load assets as they are needed, an open spatial language and AI for autonomous agents and generation of assets and worlds.

Me configuring the AI so it is pleased into outputting data with proper formatting to parse in the engine.

I have been told that scripting using graphs look tedious. The idea though, is that most users would not be doing low-level node linking, they would use macro-nodes, which would be scripts collapsed into single nodes. Users could then combine these into their own macro-nodes to share with others.

One account that deserves more attention is @ameero1
He’s building a great product called @LibiEngine
Check them out!
