Indian motel and gas station owners are staffing their businesses through closed Facebook groups — offering free housing, preferring Gujarati speakers, and hiring by DM only. No job boards, no I-9s, no paper trail. This is how a massive chunk of America’s economy motels and 7-Elevens actually get staffed. The question isn’t whether the network exists. It’s whether the workers are legal and the wages are real.
