I’m taking a break from this place. This used to be my favorite social media platform (despite the problematic owner) but it makes no sense to give up time I could spend writing, reading, or hanging out with friends to deal with the onslaught of posts and comments written by AI or bots.
I’m human. I’m an adult. I don’t get all jazzed about a life conversing with digital personalities. It seems like that’s what this place is bent on becoming and catering to.

One of the best things I ever did after I was raped was get super pissed off - it gave me the motivation to hound my attacker for 10y in criminal and civil court, do loads of victim advocacy, change policy in the city I was attacked in, get news coverage about it, and get a bad guy in charge at the DA's office removed from his position.
As a counselor certified in anger management, I have to correct people on the myth that "anger is bad." It's not - it's the thing that loves you that mobilizes you to deal with a problem. The issue is whether it consumes you to illness or loss of control, or you choose to deal with it inappropriately.
We need to stop wringing our hands over victims getting righteously angry simply because we have unworked issues with our own anger, or with women. It's not their problem to be tasked with navigating for us.

Wanting to legally get rid of the country’s social workers and early childhood education specialists sounds like the thought process of a person who is a patron of child trafficking idk.
Karl Rove, yes, that one, says the Republican Party is turning into a bunch of Nazi's in a case of the obvious meeting the undeniable. He should have thought more about where stoking the festering hate/grievance by the GOP would lead. The path was always going to lead us here.
