Absolutely delighted that Shaff has been appointed to the Lords - he'll do an amazing job.
He was out delivering thank you leaflets for me in the wind and rain when he found out, just goes to show how hard a worker he is! Truly excellent news!
Iβm delighted that Shaffaq Mohammed will be joining the Lib Dem team in the House of Lords.
@ShaffaqMohd has dedicated his life to youth work, public service and local government. He will be an excellent peer, standing up for young people, our environment and for Yorkshire.

So much for pushing for more compensation for @WASPI_Campaign , after letting down pensioners over Winter Fuel , young families with the 2 Child Benefit Cap, NI increases and Farmers Tax, itβs clear that you canβt trust @Keir_Starmer & @UKLabour MPβs to keep their promise, #WASPI
After the supreme effort of campaigners, today's report is a long overdue acknowledgement that the DWP failed #WASPI women.
But the recommended compensation of Β£1000-Β£2500 isn't good enough. They are owed far more. I'll continue to push for fair compensation @WASPI_Campaign

A huge thank you to the people of Woodhouse and Handsworth is due today, as well as to the amazing team who have supported me every step of the way.
Now the hard work begins to work for all residents of Woodhouse and serve our amazing community. #winninghere
I break my silence on here to welcome @WoodhouseWillis to Sheffield City Council.
Holding off Reform and being a great alternative to Labour locally

Had a brilliant morning with Cllrs Sophie Crossthorn and Richard Williams, and a lovely afternoon joined by @LibDemRobReiss, on the doorstep in Woodhouse today!
With just 2 days to go until the election, it really is feeling great on the doors! β at Sheffield, England
I have decided to sunset this account and move over to BlueSky, I can be found there with the same handle.
This account will be kept open to access DMs and act as an archive.
Whilst this platform has been useful to connect with people and inform people of what I am up to, it is increasingly clear that the ownership should no longer be supported in his political views.

Had a great time campaigning in Woodhouse yesterday, and it was lovely to see one of our stakeboards up out in the wild!

It's been a wonderful day chatting with local residents, listening to their concerns and views.
People across the ward are already sick of Labour, and are voting for a fresh face and a fresh start with myself and the @SheffLibDems team. β at Sheffield, England
Another day out for @WoodhouseWillis
Another day of voters saying that they are already done with @UKLabour

If @UKLabour really want to sort the growing number of deaths in the English Channel and the migrant flows across Europe it should help tackle the issues at source.
International Development is prevention, not just a sticking plaster policy
Lots of words in the Budget yesterday, but absolutely nothing about restoring the international aid and development budget to 0.7%.
In an increasingly dangerous and fractured world this shows that Labour don't care about anything beyond our borders.
Descriptors of "left" and "right" when it comes to policy shouldn't be the aim of policy making.
We should make policy founded on liberalism that is based in evidence and pay less attention to where it falls on the spectrum.
Voters prefer a party that is honest to itself
βThe Liberal Democrats are tacking to the right of labour in a number of policy areas - FT.
This is good news for the party as we become a more serious party occupying the centre-centre right ground the Conservatives have abandoned.
