🚨 🔴 Jamie Carragher Slams Manchester United’s recruitment Strategy after Andrey Santos disappointing display, questions costly summer signing following poor performance against Wrexham AFC 🗣️ “Let’s be honest, that wasn’t anywhere near good enough. Manchester United paid serious money for Andrey Santos, but yesterday he looked miles away from delivering what supporters expect.” 🗣️ “When you arrive at a club like Manchester United, nobody cares about potential. They expect quality from the first whistle, and I didn’t see enough quality.” 🗣️ “He was too slow in possession, lost important battles in midfield, and never looked capable of controlling the game. That’s simply unacceptable at this level.” 🗣️ “People will say it’s only one match, and that’s fair. But when a club invests heavily, every performance is judged because expectations become much higher.” 🗣️ “United cannot keep spending big on players who fail to influence games. The recruitment team has to start getting these decisions absolutely right.” 🗣️ “Now it’s over to Andrey Santos. The criticism will disappear if he responds on the pitch, because that’s the only place where reputations are built.”
