GTA 6 is officially eligible for The Game Awards 2026.
The Game Awards has confirmed that games released by November 20 at 9 PM PT are eligible, and GTA 6 launches on November 19.
Reports also say reviewers will get access before launch, giving critics time to actually play and review the game before the awards voting process.

GamesBeat reports that GTA 6 could launch on PC in Q1 2027, meaning sometime between January and March.
According to the report, four industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans confirmed the release window. Rockstar has not officially announced a PC release date yet.

A new rumor claims GTA VI will launch with two graphics modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X: a 30 FPS Quality Mode and a 60 FPS Performance Mode.
The claim comes from the Polish podcast Rock and Borys, which says it spoke to sources close to Rockstar.
The podcast has previously reported accurate Rockstar-related information, including The Witcher 3 expansion before it was officially announced.
According to the rumor, if the 60 FPS mode isn’t ready for launch, Rockstar plans to add it in a post-launch update.

They claim to be the friend of a Rockstar developer. I asked them to find out Jason and Lucia’s last names so I could verify their story once they were eventually revealed, and that’s what happened.
