I find it repulsive - what *this* particular person considers luck for someone in their twenties in today's world. The first thing that came to his mind was money - and solely for himself.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI:
"If I were 22 right now, I would feel like the luckiest kid in all of history."
The interviewer asked why.
He said:
"I think it is probably possible now to start a one-person company that will go on to be worth more than a billion dollars."
"You have access to tools like Dots that can let you do what used to take teams of hundreds."
"You just have to learn how to use these tools and come up with a great idea."
That's it.
No team. No funding. No office.
Just the stack and the idea.
I just published the exact stack those founders are running right now.
Five jobs. One person. Zero hires.
Research. Content. Operations. Outreach. Development.

Whenever you use the word "solved" (math is solved, art is solved, etc.), you retards, realize that it means that no further development is possible. A civilization that does not develop stands still and gradually dies. Find another word, because you have no idea what it means.
An AI enthusiast asked me why I do things the old-fashioned way, when AI could help me write a book in a week instead of me struggling with it for months or even a year. I didn’t answer him. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t know how to explain that I simply enjoy writing.
Heh. It’ll never be like that. If, or when, AI companies gain that kind of power, they certainly won’t be sharing it. By the way, it sounds like a utopia to me and utopia is just a word used to dress up dystopia so people don’t come at them with pitchforks and burn them.
Ex Anthropic Jacob Coxon in a recent interview:
„There will be no jobs in the world envisioned by the companies building those technology“
„No jobs, universal high income per dividends from entirely autonomous economic production, distributed among real humans.“
„Its one big beautiful circlj*ark“
Honestly, I had feared more doomerism from him. That doesn't sound like a bad world at all. It's worth watching the interview.
It’s hard to be angry about them adding a watermark to AI output when you don’t use the AI output or pretend it’s yours.
Could YouTube just add an AI label right to the video list? It’s fucking annoying when I click on a thumbnail and get greeted by some generic crap.

NEW: Dario Amodei has said that AI systems "may be deserving of important rights." Anthropic's top safety researchers argue AI may be "justified in going rogue." Experts at Google and OpenAI worry about a digital "slave trade." So do some government officials.
Once relegated to science fiction, the idea of "AI welfare" has become shockingly mainstream at some of the most powerful companies in the world. It is changing the way AI research is conducted and the way models are programmed. And critics say these changes have raised the odds of all kinds of catastrophic scenarios—including the ones these companies are warning about.
I spent months investigating the frontier labs and AI "safety" experts seeking to regulate AI. What I found was a profoundly anti-human ideology that would alarm the average citizen and could determine the future of a world-altering technology.🧵

Agents never hacked anything. That was the work of labs like OpenAI and their malicious software. They need to be held strictly accountable. They show that they couldn't care less about the consequences. A model is a tool in the hands of either a good person or a scumbag.
Creating "art" with AI, such as drawing, writing, or even coding, for fun can certainly be enjoyable. I don't deny that. But try to imagine what it would be like if you could do it yourself. You might find it even more enjoyable.
Only people are dangerous. That’s how it was and always will be. AI won’t destroy us. If anyone does, it will be the one who sets it in motion and they might not even intend for it to happen. Look at Dario. He has good intentions. In my opinion, he is the most dangerous of them.
I should keep my mouth shut because the Czech Republic has Babiš as prime minister, but for God’s sake. Your President Trump? Damn Americans. You guys are really dumb for letting such a disgusting and dim-witted idiot rule over you.
When you ask an LLM to critique your writing, only one thing happens is it never stops, and it makes absolutely no difference what you do. Try it yourself. Repeat the same prompt over and over with a single text, constantly modifying it based on the model's feedback.
Kimi is dumb as brick. It struggles to interpret the book scene right from the first piece, something other models (much smaller) handle without issue.
Sam, Dario and others. What if instead of solving math puzzles, your AI solve rising prices, hard-to-find housing, education, and other "uselessness"? Oh, and cancer. You could solve that too. I'm not in a hurry, in the meantime I'm watching you try to fuck everything up.
I'm not angry because you can produce work similar to the people who spend their lives doing it. I'm sad because you think you can match their efforts. Gatekeeping? No one ever stopped you from becoming a painter, a writer, 3D artist, whatever. You just never had the courage.
The main problem with Notebook LM is that it's driven by a rather unintelligent model. It only needs twelve scenes from my book, about 10,000 words, and it starts to get confused and completely misunderstand.
