ALT Community Endowment of Lexington (CEL) @LexEndowment is pleased to have funded in part the #Spinning Tableau by @LexSeeHer2, in Lexington MA on August 27, 2022. In 1769, forty-five women in Lexington brought their spinning wheels outside to protest the King's taxation on imported cloth. In the photo, you can see the cards the women are holding with the names and some biographical info about those who protested. CEL funded the supplies that volunteers used to make the aprons. Community Endowment of Lexington is an endowed fund of the Foundation for MetroWest. #womenmakinghistory #lexingtonma
