Big thanks to @BMArchaeology for the guided tour around the engine house compound. Truly amazing discoveries on the site: images show furnaces, flues leading to the chimney & rail track route. We had no idea quite how many remains we have been walking over these past few years!

Our latest discovery from #Tintern Abbey, a tile of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, King of the Romans (b.1209-d.1272). Henry III, Richard’s brother, gave him Cornwall in 1225 as a 16th birthday present, and was elected King of Germany in 1257. @BMArchaeology @cadwwales @cadwcymru
