Phil Smith as a #RUFC director should’ve been a real fresh start, but it’s unsurprising (& damning on the board) that his advice on changes appears to fall on deaf ears. Now it’s smart for Smith to pile more pressure on Stewart and Co. Really need the sale before the Jan window.

Good #RUFC news. With his ambitious remodel of the women’s team & Millmoor plans, think it’s been clear for a while that Phil Smith has been positioning himself for a full takeover - this interview is a big step towards that. His emotional/financial investment is what we need.

Another wild afternoon for #RUFC. Can’t fault the attitude/effort of most players, but idiotic decisions/mistakes every game give us a mountain to climb to even get a point. Fitzgerald brilliant again, but Buyabu cost us massively today.

Embarrassing Jili Buyabu. Petulance of the highest order to get sent off after FOUR minutes for this blatant of an elbow. Alex Bruce and his teammates should be livid with him. #RUFC

Nothing in that at all, a v high quality chess match that Smith just edged. What a year for Dalton Smith after the performance of the year contender vs Matias. And an even bigger 2027 with a Hillsborough fight coming. #SmithPuello #boxing

Fitzgerald is really growing with each game now and making a real impact. Needs to be kept on the first XI now. Mullin is proving a superb signing. 8 goals in 13 L2 games in an underperforming team is remarkable & he offers more than just goals. Nemane linking up well too. #RUFC

Crazy, crazy game. Shambolic refereeing for both sides, but second time this week we shot ourselves in the foot to gift an opponent a way back in. Key difference this time is we showed real grit to earn a point in the end - should give the squad morale a real boost. #RUFC

The most bizarre transfer saga *finally* ends. A no-brainer with Otoo's injury and Bruce switching to a four-man defence. Odd that the signing didn't come sooner, but glad it's finally happened. Risk-free for both sides with the length of the deal, and could be a coup. #RUFC

Robinson to #RUFC talk is surely BS, but anyone thinking sacking Bruce/appointing him is the right move is on cuckoo land. Bruce has been far from perfect, but he’s a talented young coach learning as he goes at one of the toughest EFL clubs to manage. Support him, not the board.

Looked a threat for 20 minutes, but otherwise garbage again and took way too long to start playing. Poor defensively for Fleetwood’s goals too. Scars from past seasons already showing with confidence gone and injury issues. Have a v limited squad and that’s not on Bruce. #RUFC

Someone on Sky Sports commentary just compared Johnny Fisher to Mike Tyson. Christ alive… 😅 #FisherPirotton

Goes to show how well we have recruited that our starting XI remains this strong even with eight players unavailable. Not much to come off the bench attacking-wise unsurprisingly, but enough quality on the pitch to cause damage. #RUFC

Paul Mullin makes the top three as I rank Rotherham United's 16 signings this season *so far* from worst to best... Full ranking below 🔽🔽🔽 #RUFC #UTM lewisoldham99blog.wordpress.…

Potentially a brilliant signing for Rotherham United. The short term deal protects the club (if injuries take over) & Iorfa (if he does well/wants a L1 move). Just the experience we need and should fit nicely into our back three, hope it works out and his deal extends. #RUFC

‘Alex Bruce could end up having a really good career in management, and whether it’s with Rotherham United or not, I’m backing him to at least go on to manage at Championship level in the coming years.’ My four other hot takes on #RUFC here… 👇🏻lewisoldham99blog.wordpress.…
