We still have some spaces left in our talk tomorrow night! This is bound to be incredibly popular as @Tweetisaurus will discuss the dinosaurs of the Weald, the state of knowledge today, and the methods being used to put flesh on the bones of these historic discoveries!

In 1940 there was a frenzy of activity across Britain to install new defences in anticipation of a Nazi invasion. Across Seven Sisters Country Park, you can still see the remnants of these defences in the form of pillboxes and Dragon's Teeth. #SevenSistersCountryPark

These #artefacts are Iron barbed hunting arrows. During the #medieval era, #hunting not only provided food but was a popular past time amongst the #wealthy. The entitlements to hunt were restricted to the #privileged. These arrows were discovered in Hangleton and #Lewes, #Sussex

This #money box dates to the #Medieval period and is made from #pottery. The box would have to be smashed to remove the #savings! Notice how narrow the slit is? That’s because Medieval coins were remarkably thin. Found in Rye, Sussex this money box is on display at #Lewes Castle

The answer has to be Lewes Castle How could you not love our stunning garden and incredible views like this! Also we have a cannon...... @romanpalace do you?
If you could live in any @sussex_society property forever, in its 1st form, which would it be? @romanpalace for the underfloor heating & decadence? @MichelhamPriory for the great hall & lake? @LewesCastle for the grandeur and the views? Anne of Cleves House for beauty & design?
